I stayed in Renaissance in May 2014 for two weeks with work and I really enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious and clean. The gym and swimming pool were nice too. There are plenty of places to eat in the hotel and within walking distance. My favourite restaurant was the chinese restaurant on the first floor. The Korean BBQ... More

I stayed here for 5 nights, all which were wonderful! The hotel is very modern (only 2 years old) and very spacious. Our room was very nice, with a nice bathroom and big shower. We stayed on the executive level which gives you access to the executive lounge which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We only had breakfast there which... More

Hotel was modern with a very open lobby. Smoki Moto restaurant (Korean/Japanese) was excellent and reasonably priced (by U.S. standards, perhaps not by Chinese standards) BLD Cafe was okay. The buffet had some variety but nothing was particular noteworthy or outstanding. Rooms were fairly clean. Only complaint was the shower drainage grooves looked a little dirty, but otherwise everything was... More

The service here is excellent. Be sure to upgrade to the club level which gets you breakfast and a light dinner. Not a lot around to do after work. I have stayed in several Fairmont's in the US and Canada and the room compares to them.

I truly enjoyed my experience at this Renaissance hotel. I loved the Skandinavian-type austere interior of the lobby and rooms, the Korean restaurant (was there every evening) and the open bar. The english of the staff was so-so, but at least they understood most of the questions. The rooms weren't very spacious but I liked the open design of the... More

The hotel is located in the Caohejing business and office district so getting to shops and restaurants will require some walking or a car ride (there are some small convenience stores and a Starbucks a short stroll away, but no major shopping areas). The rooms were modern and well appointed. The lock for the bathroom sliding door was broken but... More

I just had a very nice stay here. The rooms are modern and comfortable. There are 3 good restaurants, the breakfast is excellent but a little pricey. There is not too much around the hotel, but a number of restaurants and microbreweries are a 5 minute cab ride away, and the metro to the city is a short walk. It... More

Staying at this hotel is a very, very comfortable experience. Staff is extremely helpful, the whole hotel is modern and clean. The lounge service especially is outstanding. Really, one of the best hotels in Shanghai. It isn't cheap, but for the service and quality level, it's worth it. Highly recommended.
