The hotel is conveniently located near People's Square station (exit 8), and Madame Tussand's is just down the road at New World mall (Xin Si Jie). Decent sized rooms, however, take note that the lobby is on the 2nd floor & you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs to get to the lobby (the bellhop will be... More

Overall, I can’t really say anything bad about this place. I stayed here for a total of seven nights in two different rooms. It’s a really nice hotel in an excellent and very central location. It is actually a much fancier place than I usually stay in while in China, but it was reasonably priced for the level of quality... More

We were in Pacific hotel in F1 weekend so it was fully booked and there were noice in the hallways and rooms had thin walls. And housekeeping staff were talking with loud voice in the hallways in the morning and woke us up. Service was good and friendly. Beds were super good and soft especially compared to normal chinese beds.... More

The location is great but be careful, they will charge you more to have a view on People square whatever it was said on the booking and confirmed from reservation after. Service is clearly not a 4 stars hotel but more a state own hotel level. The day we arrived they did some paint on the 2nd floor and in... More

I chose the Pacific Hotel for my first visit to Shanghai because of the location: on Nanjing Road, just 1/2 block from pedestrian mall part of Nanjing Road, across the street from People's Park, and across the street from the heart of the Metro system. It was tremendously convenient-- we could walk to the Bund, and all the attractions of... More

The location of this hotel is fantastic if you are travelling to Shanghai and want to be around the tourist areas. With Peoples Square just accross the road as well as the Metro entry (8) almost at your doorstep, its easy to get around different locations in Shanghai. The brightly lit East Nanjing Road is a very short walk away... More

If you are looking for an ultra modern hotel with all of the frills and superb service, the Pacific Hotel is not for you. If you are looking for a clean and comfortable hotel that has a history and character, this one would be a good choice. Staying here takes you back to a different time and is a pleasant... More

We stayed in this hotel in March 2013 for 3 nights... Check in was relatively efficient, but then we were handed the room keys and ignored. We figured that we must be expected to find our own way to our rooms, which we did - seemed rather odd that they didn't at least point us in the right direction! Rooms... More

we were staying for 2 nights, this hotel is a old hotel, nice building but bad service. Located in west nanjing road, next to madam tussaud, mall and people's park. that's the only good about this hotel. The A/C is not working properly so our room is really hot, i think because this is a old hotel so the interior... More

Don't stay here. This hotel was by far the worst experience we have every had in China. Upon arrival we were going to check-in and drop off our bags while we walked around downtown. The woman at the front desk sees us and immediately comments to a co-worker about how she hates foreigners. We live in China and speak Mandarin... More
