Due to a flight change we had an extra night in Shanghai, so we booked this hotel at the last minute before we arrived. Upon arrival the hotel looks perfectly normal and the reception area is spacious and has a clean feel to it. But whilst checking in the lingering smell of smoke begins to reach you and whilst you... I would not keep good memory of this " motel" of a 70's style construction. The only color is brown or beige , rooms are so noisy (doors closing - phone calls - coughs ) that I could hear my neighbor snoring. Bathroom was small with black mold under the edge of the washbasin . Wifi was weak. Location is... More

I booked this hotel for two days stay in shanghai, on expedia, I especially noted I need a Nonsmoking room, but when I checked in, the front desk told me there is NO nonsmoking room for me at the price I paid. I need to pay extra for an nonsmoking room. The room is reasonably clean, but it's just filled... More

I booked this hotel as a budget option with an outdoor pool whilst visiting Shanghai for a holiday with a friend. The location on expedia was not right and there was very few people around who spoke English. After a 15 minute walk we eventually found it. The hotel itself is fine, the room was fine and the staff were... More

I am a very regular business vistor to Shanghai. Always on a tight budget never 5 star and I prefer local hotels that are well located for my business purpose. This hotel ticked all the boxes plus some more. Would hughly recommend over other more expensive hotels located close. is inside the Shanghai / Stadium & Gymnasium complex. very well... More

I was a bit wary when I booked this hotel as it did not have great reviews, but I would stay there again. Front desk staff and concierge spoke great English and were very helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable overlooking trees - loved the Japanese washlet toilet! Very convenient to the Metro with 2 lines giving easy access to... More

Arrived at the Shanghai Olympic with three colleagues. While staff was very nice, English was a bit of a challenge. Non-smoking rooms were emphatically requested. Upon entry, we discovered that two of the rooms had not been cleaned. All of the "non-smoking" rooms possessed STRONG odors of cigarette smoke. Ash trays and matches were among the amenities in the rooms.... More

Very convient traffic, it took about half an hour from Hongqiao Airport through highway. The building is not very high, only 3 floors, surrounded by nice garden. The staff know little english but they could understand what you main. The breakfast buffet was good, but no english menu indeed. Close to shopping centre and Ancient Sights in Xujiahui. I feel... Nice clean hotel but very limited English speaking staff & those you can find don't understand enough to answer any questions. The breakfast buffet was OK but dinner was nightmare both in restaurants & room service. No english menus or English speaking staff. The beds are hard as a board but I think this is all over China & no... More

This is a typical 3+star hotel in Shanghai. It is walking distance from the South Shanghai Stadium (about 1000m) which is line 1. IT's a little older than most in center city, but it is well kept and the staff are helpful - though they do not speak much english. You'll have to pay for internet (62RMB/day), but it seems...
