IF you seek a relaxing time in Shanghai, this hotel can help you relax. The restaurants are nice and the bar is quiet, but efficient. The entire grounds are well kept and beautiful. The long driveways are tree lined. Across from the main hotel entrance is a rock type water fall that is comforting to see. No bright lights, no... More

This hotel is beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. This is like a resort hotel, not the typical high-rise in Shanghai. The little buildings in the garden complex is very relaxing and you can easily forget that you are in the largest city of Asia. I highly recommend this hotel

This hotel is ok. We arrived very tired and checked into our room. We were given two single beds and the room stank of smoke. We rang immediately to complain and ask for a king room non smoking. We had to wait till the following day to move. Fortunately this was just as well as the toilet broke whilst we... More

Very exclusive hotel in shanghai, near by domestic airport. Very quite hotel, with premium facilities. Big room, great bathroom. Breakfast is good as well. little bit far from shopping mall, and its not easy to find restaurant near by the hotel. But the best thing is, this hotel near by train station, so it will make us easy to go... More

I've started here numerous times on business and can say that if the project I was working on wasn't right near there I would never stay here. It's outside of anything in Shanghai you would want to do but the grounds are very nice. As far as the hotel I have had to change rooms numerous times due to many... More

It is one of the nicest and quietest hotels around. There is free wifi, and a nice cozy restaurant The rooms are spotless , and when I called housekeeping for extra towels , they were at my door before I even hung up the phone.

Staying at HongQiao State Hotel was a superb experience. Upon entering the place, the hotel exterior presented more of a resort look. Surrounded by acres and acres of green land with well maintained lawns, sky high trees, beautifully dressed gardens with season flowers, the place presented one of the best views even from your hotel room. Clean, Big Rooms, Nice... More

By our luck there was a big group from foreign countries who think they own the hotel and act very loudly.. Great location for reaching the train station.. I would advise for Sheraton with same price range... Pro: Great service (hard to find in China) all around garden (Actually you can hear birds in shanghai) Close to very nice restaurants.... More

This is one of China's rare hotels, in which the service staff treats you well, give you what you need, and without a bugging "over service". There are a few buildings in the area, and this is my 3rd time here. At first, I have been accommodated in no. 7, which gives you a feeling you fell into a higher... More

This hotel is beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. This is like a resort hotel, not the typical high-rise in Shanghai. The breakfast room, the lobby, and the central hall that the rooms surround are beautiful, sunny, open areas. It reminds me of some of the hotels we have stayed at in Costa Rica, and other tropical spots, etc.... More
