I have stayed here twice and will stay again. Staff and breakfast is excellent, a lot better than equivalent hotels in Beijing and rooms are a bit small but this is above average for shanghai which has many small hotel rooms akin to Tokyo and Singapore. One staff member took me to a hand of football after work which was... More

This hotel could be one of the first Holiday Inn in Shanghai. The location is treated as the downtown in Shanghai 20 years ago as it was right next to the Shanghai Train Station, a city was started around the train station/pier, China is no exceptional. However, Shanghai has changed a lot in the last 10 years, a few new... More

Impersonal, bureaucratic staff at the front desk. Location right opposite the railway station. Not close to any of the attractions. The Bund is $5 away by taxi. Food expensive in the hotel. Many eateries on adjoining streets. No concierge facilities. Constant din of traffic even on top floors. No good views through the small room windows Good city map available... More

Shanghai hotels are not cheap. We were staying for 3 nights in Shanghai and basically picked it because it was the most reasonably priced and in a decent area. We were in Shanghai merely for pleasure, not business. This hotel is centrally located if you're in town for business, but the best part is that it's around the corner from... More

I had stayed in this premises many times with my recent stay in May. As always, was always recognized as an IHG member and provided rooms at mid to high floor even when it is just award nights or fully charged nights. Shanghai IHG premises always has well trained staff as compared to other IHG premises in China hinterlands.
