Lobby area is very grand and modern. Hotel stuff is quite nice. There is a family mart right across the street great for grabbing essentials. It was about a 10 minute walk to the rail station/subway. It is a little hidden from Main Street's but not too big of a problem. Our room was on the 14th floor. The common... More

Non descript hotel with spacious and clean room. Location was a little off but it was expected given that the room rate is slightly lower than those closer to the train stations. It is a 30-min walk to Tianzhi Fang. There is a convenience store just across the road and not a lot of food & beverage options around the... More

This was a very standard hotel, and I would recommend it to those who are going to be out and about all day and just want a comfy bed to sleep in at the end of a long day. The hotel location is great, with convenient stores and restaurants right across the street (and a beautiful mansion!). Downtown is also... More

the hotel is well located in the center, with the subway station to/from the Pudong Airport being about 15 minutes away, good views, very rich and varied breakfast, helpful staff at the counter, free umbrellas on a rainy day, close to the Nanjing Street with shops and restaurants

I wasn't impressed with this hotel. The room was adequate at best. There is no free wifi available, you have to pay for it. The front desk were not particularly friendly or helpful. Overall there is a lot of room for improvement and I would suggest using a different hotel.

The room was clean, calm and big. Guests in this hotel were mainly chinese and if you like a good chinese breakfast, this is a place I can recommend The breakfast buffet also included a good choice for everybody. The standard was good for what we paid for. We would come again.

The Hotel has a good location. The service at the fornt desk and concergie are fairly good, althouhg their spoken English is not that great. Rooms need a renewal. Breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of local and "western" food

I chose this hotel because it was just 5 minutes walking from Exhibition Center in Yan’An road. The room I stayed was very old and need a deep clean and fix drawers which was almost falling apart. I wouldn’t mind all this if at least the staff service were good which unfortunately the word “service” don’t even apply. The English speaking... More

Not friendly it would be an euphemism. Rely professional but not for the tourist. Price crazy for the service and room . Sorry but I thought really better . I spent a lot of time in Shanghai and my parents came here for visiting me . Never again. Clean as the Chinese place ( sarcastic ) but at the west... More

Be aware when you book a regular room, they charge you extra for the gym, the pool and even the Internet! Very old fashioned. Rooms are a bit smelly due to the carpet on the floor. And breakfast is really insufficient! Location is okay and beds are soft, but I will go elsewhere next time.

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
