The hotel is walking distance to the Bund, to restaurants and shopping. There is an ATM in the hotel where you can get yens which is very convenient. The breakfast buffet caters to all different palates (European, American, Asian) so there is variety to choose from. The rooms are worn down and the carpet is absolutely filthy. The shower was... Great location for enjoyment of food, shopping, and sightseeing on the Bund river. At night you can view the city lights of the modern western style buildings/bridges and gardens acrossed from the hotel. The rooms are large with comfortable beds but the carpet and upholstery on the furniture are dirty and has multiple stains. I put a towel on the... More

We stayed in this hotel for three nights this month. Pros: lots of little touches, robes, big fluffy towels, fridge in room, hospitality products and a fantastic location. Also an extensive breakfast buffet with omelet chef and view of the water. Cons: room itself was old and the first thing we noticed was the dirty carpet. Very hard beds. We... More

we stayed here for 2 nights in Dec 2014. We had a room with a lovely view overlooking the river and The Bund. The room was quite spacious as we had 2 large cases and 2 carry on bags. However they did have a large bulky coat stand in the room which we found unnecessary and moved it into the... More

I hope my summary title sums up the Briadway Mansions Hotel. First of all it is really easy to find at the metal bridge, easy 10 minute walk from line 2 or line 10, the hotel has a brilliant location looking on to the Bund and within 2 minutes you will be walking along the heart of the river. I... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a Friendly Planet tour group. The hotel was in a perfect location as we walked all along the Bund, Nanjing Road, down to Yuyuan Gardens, etc. The room was quite large and had everything you need- frig, safe, coffee maker, robe, slippers, hairdryer, separate tub & shower, soft towels, great internet... I stayed her for a few nights back in March of 2014. My corner room was very large and had all the amenities you would expect. The stand up shower was covered in mold, so I used the tub. Pros-Wonderful location! Great buffet breakfast. Rooms are large. Room service is fast, cheap, and they provide huge portions. Cons-The construction across... More

We stayed in this 1930'S CLASSIC CHIC SHANGHAI HOTEL this last November. This type of hotel ,contrary to contemporary ones, is Remanent of old Shanghai as depicted in the books and movies that simulate the imagination as to what a Shanghai -Classic should be. We had a room on high elevated floor with a view, a panorama of Shanghai's water-front... More

It is well located, with the beautiful Bund just a quick stroll away. The rooms were large and I didn't mind the old school charm. BUT I did mind the cleanliness - the housemaids (or whoever) didn't keep the room clean. When we arrived there was hair and grime in the bath tub, visible scum on the glass shower door.... More
