First trip to Shanghai. Chose this hotel based on it's location. Compared to other nearby hotels, amenities and location, turned out to be a great deal. The lobby, elevator's restaurant and rooms are very clean. Their breakfast, buffet was amazing! Reasonable costs, a wide variety of items to choose from; Asian to Western items. I look forward to returning to... More

Very close to subway station. And it was close to Nanjing Rd. You can go anywhere in Shanghai with subway and take some rest at hotel when you feel tired😀 Room condition was super good. Clean and everything in the room were nice.

I really loved this hotel, the rooms were very confortable with plenty of toiletries, bathtub and shower and the bed was also very confortable. My room was facing the street and it can be very noisy, although with the windows closed there were no problems in general. The location is excellent, walking distance to the Bund and many restaurantes and... More

The hotel is well located - walking distance to the Bund and the shopping streets. The rooms are fine and clean. My room on the 24th floor had a great view. Only annoying: the honking from the streets which is hearable even on the 24th floor.

I stayed in this hotel several times now, throughout the 2014 and 2015 , with the tour groups I guided. Everybody loved this hotel, mainly because of it's proximity to Nanjing Road (only 15 minutes walking distance from the Bund and 15 minutes to Shanghai Museum.) The hotel amenities are lovely as well. It is clean and rooms are spacious,... More

Well appointed hotel, one street over from the pedestrianised East Nanking road, five minutes walk from a metro station and within walking distance of the riverside (Bund). Large hotel, we had a pleasant room on the 18th floor. Reception was efficient, would stay again.

Modern, well appointed hotel in an ideal location. Close to The Bund, 10 minute walk and 5 minutes to the main pedestrian shopping street Nanjing Road. Rooms are a good size and well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities and a safe. Breakfast is plentiful but get there early as it gets cold quickly and the variety reduces over time. Bar... The location is great and within walking distance to the Bundt harbor area. Taxis are pretty cheap so you can take one there also. The room was comfortable and very spacious with wonderful window views from any angle due to the round structure of the building. My only complaint was WIFI connection; probably the worst I ever encountered at any... More

Very nice hotel, central location, comfortable rooms, helpful staff Breakfast is too expensive and the Spa was closed earlier than it mentioned on the information (23:00 instead of 24:00) but other than that it is very good.

Staying in People’s Square

Neighborhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
