I was looking for a decent hotel for less than $200 per night with breakfast. The rooms were a bit small but acceptable. The staff I interfaced with were friendly and the breakfast buffet had a wide range of choices. The room faced west so it absorbed the heat from the sun during the day and the AC seemed to... More

All the Chinese people are not friendly, the hotel employees are no exception, If you stay at this hotel, as much as possible do not communicate at a man named Jimmy, who claims to be one of dutty manager.. There is no employees who kindly answered the questions of customers, and really bad Service, about location good, big room &... More

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel (23-24 oct 2014) which was announced by our operator 'Audley Travel' as 'first class' hotel. This was a total disappointment. The hotel is dated, old bathroom, dirty windows and very simple, not very fresh breakfast buffet. the location is OK if you like the non interesting shopping area and the Bund. The rooms... More

I have stayed in the hotel for few times, this come checking-in in Winter (Dec), rate is lower considerably. Everything ok and particular of the location, which is quite near to the pedestrian zone and Bund. The improvement needed is the air conditioning, the air out is so dry when I switched it on and make the whole room not... More

This hotel has all the conviences nearby. Restaurants, train stations, People's Park, walking distance to the Bund and other tourist attractions ie. Fairmont Peace hotel. The staff at reception were very helpful in obtaining directions especially since taxi drivers have very little English. Breakfasts here though were quite expensive US$25 per person. Instead, my husband and I found a tiny... More

I come in this hotel since 2010 on a frequent basis, I am allways surprised about the good service level and the hospitality of the hotel employees. The location of this hotel in the middle of Shanghai, close to the Bund, etc. etc. I love to stay in this hotel. The furniture in the rooms are maybe a bit old-fashioned,... More

went here for family holiday with a 8 years old boy and we are very happy... If you want a place just across the pedestrian mall this is great, plus free wifi and quick service we have very little to pick on... the rooms' upkeep is very good.... and no charge for kid under 12 years old (or 1.3metre in... I stayed here over the weekend for 2 nights during a business trip to Shanghai area. I was upgraded to a 2 rooms suite upon my late check in which was a good start for my stay. The hotel is equipped with high class SPA including indoor heated pool, sauna, gym and massage centre. I had lunch at the Riviera... More

Brilliantly located, the hotel boosts of all the amenities that you expect from a five star. Walk-able distance from two metro stations of the green line metro. One can easily take the metro from the airport and avoid the expensive cabs. Has a starbucks right beneath it and is surrounded by the most wonderful market of Shanghai. The indoor pool... More
