4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Stayed one night here before flying home. I'm in Shanghai 2 or 3 times a year and I usually stay at the New Harbour, but their prices have been steadily increasing and are no longer good value- in my opinion. I had to wait a few minutes at check-in but was rewarded with a free upgrade to a spacious Business... More

Hotel is in an excellent location between the people's square and east Nanjing road metro stations. The main pedestrian shopping street is just 5 mins walk away. The hotel lobby and facilities are excellent - the pool and spa in particular, however the rooms are quite dated / in need of some refurbishment. Of the five 4/5 star hotels I've... More

We were weary about booking a hotel that seems relatively aged, but our 4-day stay here has been nothing but amazing. We booked using points from my Chase Sapphire and it was super cheap compared to other 4/5-star hotels around the area. ROOM - very clean, things might look aged but very well taken care of, no stains or spills,... More

This hotel is ideally situated for people's square and Nanjing road East. Staff are helpful and polite. Rooms are spacious, although looking a little tired/dated. However, for the price this is a great place to stay.

Rooms are nice, location is perfect, breakfast is excellent, lunch and dinner buffets very good especially on Fridays and Saturdays if you like seafood. Staff very professional from the front desk, concierge, housekeeping. Safe location and makes you feel at home. This is the 18th time I stay at this hotel and never disappointed.

Excellent location. Hotel is located right on Century Square in city centre. Easy walk to Nanjing pedestrian street shops & 10 min walk to The Bund. Hotel is very secure. The room we had was quiet and adequate for a short stay. Bed had a very hard mattress - not particularly comfortable. Good access to wifi. Staff very friendly and... More

This hotel is located right across the street from the nanjing walking road. It is a 5 minute walk to peoples square subway station. This subway station is well connected to multiple lines. It was my first trip to Shanghai and this hotel was a great choice with regards to location. Apart from that it ia a decent 4 star... More

First we love the security of this hotel. You need to scan you room key when using elevator in order to go to the floor you stay. Staffs at business center are so friendly and helpful. Also hotel's location is very convenient. There is a very nice food court & restaurants close by on the second & third floor of... More

Staying in People’s Square

Neighborhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
