Location is great, the rooms are nice and clean, lovely garden. WIFI - I am not sure if this is because it is China or because that hostel does not have enough bandwidth to share between all guests but it was horrible. Slow or not working wherever you are in the hostel.

We stayed here for a few days in August in 2014 during our travels in Asia. The staff at reception speak English and are very helpful. The communal area is huge and although is a bar, you do not feel obliged to order something there in order to sit there. Internet wifi is weak at certain times of the day... More

The hostel is a few blocks from train station (lines 2 or 3 - maybe 5 or 6 blocks away). This is very convenient as line 2 is direct for the pvg and honquiao airports as well as the honquiao railway station, and some main attractions like Peoples Square, the Shanghai museum, the Bund, etc. We stayed in a private... We stayed at this hostel after moving from a 5 star hotel in shanghai. We were worried that going back to a hostel would seem so bad. But fortunately for us this place is great! Friendly welcoming staff, a huge social area with a large menu with local and western dishes made for a fantastic place to grab a quick... More

The hostel certainly had a nice warm feel to it and staff were quite helpful. I don't know whether it was just my experience, but as a solo traveler, in comparison to other hostels i have stayed in, I did find it difficult to interact and engage with other travelers.

We chose to stay in this hostel because of its' location and price. Frankly I didn't have high expectations for this hostel since it was so cheap (¥210/night for a standard double room). But when we got there I was surprised because it exceeded my expectations by a large margin. The minute you walk into their property you are greeted... More

We stayed here for a week or so. It's clean and the bathroom is spacious. We stayed in a twin room, unfortunately everything else was booked up. It was much noisier at the weekends, in terms of other guests but I guess that's expected. The internet is pretty much not existing, even in the lobby. So don not stay here... More

This is a pretty straightforward review, the hostel is smart and very tidy, and the rooms are well priced. The bar / café is good, the food is really good, and there's a pool table!! The only real issue we had was getting eaten alive in the bar at night because of the beautiful water feature outside the reception. On... More

Stayed here twice in June and July straddling a week in Hong Kong, was turned on to youth hostels in Cardiff by necessity and i am never staying a hotel again they are fun friendly and so much less plastic than hotels you can deal in cash and a lot dont ask for your card details for security which then... Stayed here in a private room with 2 friends. The room was great, nice lighting, clean/functional bathroom, quiet, and the beds were on the comfortable side of a hostel. The downstairs lobby and bar is also quite nice and relaxing. The only kinda downer on this place is the location, which is marginally out of the way, but it is... More
