Great location and close to tourist attractions and subway station. Room is clean and comfort. Staff help to book taxi to airport in the morning arrived on time. Good value budget hotel considered the location and convenience.

Hotel's location is in the center of Shanghai. We arrived Shanghai by train and took metro line 10 from Shanghai Hongqiao railway station to Yu Yuan Garden station which is only 50 meters away from hotel. I advise you try to memorize the photo of hotel since there is no longer a sign over the entrance of hotel that writes... More

the hotel room definitely looks old, carpet doesnt feel very clean, toilet is extremely tiny (looks & feels like they took a portable toilet and just installed it into the room). i guess u can't expect too much from one of the cheapest hotels in the popular area.. however, it is really really convenient to go everywhere as it is... We are two senior sisters taking a two-and-one-half month tour (that we have planned ourselves) through southeast Asia - with a minimal budget. Location for sightseeing was our top priority. This hotel gets a "10" for that, as in other reviews. We had a room on the second floor on the busy street side. The beds were wonderful from all... More

The hotel is located less than 3 min walk to yuyuan mtr. The hotel room is below the average, room lights are very dim and seems run down. Doesn't feel vrry clean though but bearable to stay for 2'nights. Its a hotel that has hourly rate, i'm sure u get it

The main advantage to this hotel is the location: it's almost ridiculously close to the Bund (5 min) and the YuYuan Gardens Metro stop (2 min). However, it's also right next to a quite busy street which might bother those who are light sleepers. The rooms were clean and the shower had good pressure. We managed to block the toilet... More

En route from Melbourne to Toronto, we found ourselves with a 17-hour layover in Shanghai, from 7pm until noon the next day. I was looking for a hotel we could do a nice walking tour of a small portion of Shanghai, and grab a few hours sleep in between. I could have done much worse. Upon arrival, we took the... More

I decided to give this hotel a try because of its close proximity to the Yuyuan metro station (Exit 4, cross the busy Renmin Road and there you are, almost). However, it is really not up to snuff as a "business hotel". More like a budget hotel. The rooms are very small even the "business class" ones. Either that or... More

Like most other reviewer commented, this is consider a budget hotel, but with superb location. I would recommend it if you are on a budget. I reached Shanghai around 9pm and took a LINE 10 MRT to Yuyuan Station. The Hotel is located only 3 minutes walking distance from the MRT Station (Exit 4). [Note: You can get a MRT... More

If you are expecting a 5 star hotel - go to one. This is not a 5 star hotel but a pretty good hotel for what it is and what they charge. I had no problem with the place. I had a single room. Yes, a bit small but it's mostly just a place to sleep and wash. You are... More

Staying in People’s Square

Neighborhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
