The apartment is less than 5 mins walk to Jin'an station, which is a prime location for Shanghai. It's an older property which is showing its age, especially in the lobby but don't let that deter you. The rooms themselves are well maintained and clean. I would suggest getting the rooms which has a small living room rather than their... More

Choosing a serviced apartment means you are aware of things that come (and dont come) with the package. This is not a hotel. However, is a decent serviced apartment with all amenities that you may expect. They provide a small kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave oven, basic set of utensils and a washing machine+detergent, Ironing board+iron, TV + DVD player. The room... More

We stayed in these apartments twice, both at the beginning and end of our month long trip to China. Originally I had picked these apartments because they are close to where a family member is living, but they are so very convenient for any stay in Shanghai. Easy to reach from the airport on a direct bus to Jingan Temple... More

Nice, tidy neat little apartments with kitchenette and a mini mart just below. Handy location - near Jingan temple and subway station. And free in-room laundry service is a very handy - especially if you're travelling light as you can bring fewer clothes! As is common in China, they will block your card with a security deposit as well as... More

I stayed at the Landoll Apts. for a little over two months and it was more then I expected! The deluxe studio is incredibly roomy and more then comfortable for two people. You may think the location would be loud but the Apartments themselves are very quiet (which is good!). The location is in the heart of Shanghai and only... More

I travel throughout China on business - and so I could stay at more traditional 5 star places, but I like to take my wife and son with me occasionally. We like to rent apartments as it gives us a bit more room. Our son is 5 so it is nice not to have lights out at 8 PM. The... More

I have stayed 3 nights in this hotel and had to move to another hotel because I did not feel well in it. I have seen a lot of good hotels in my life and I can rate this one as European 2 to 3 stars. Negative points: the entrance, lobby and reception are quite shabby. The service is not... More

Location. It is convenient considering the distance to the metro (line2) and many restaurants nearby. The apartment was OK. The flexibility allowing changing of the booking was a plus. The room is clean. The place is a bit shabby. No one helped when I arrived with 2 suitcases and a computer bag. The reception is located on the 2nd floor... More

We booked an apartment for a 10 days stay in Shanghai as we wanted an alternative to hotel accommodation and like booking studio apartments when we visit Europe. This choice proved to be very good. The apartment was clean and well appointed with a washing machine and DVD player being a bonus. The staff were very helpful in resolving the... More

Taxi from the airport and an easy helpful check-in. Reception staff on the 1st floor English speaking determined to make the stay at Ladoll Service Apartments a pleasant one. Everything fine in the room and very clean, as it says in the names the apartment was cleaned and freshened up every day with clean towels. Wifi easy to access although... More

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
