Nice big clean room, comfy bed, bathtub with TV ..., all is good except the WiFi in my room wasn't working, I believe it's just a single incident. Didn't have a chance to check out gym and pool; ordered a sandwich from room service, wasn't very good. There's not much within walking distance: there's a Family Mart across the road,... More

Came here for three nights and i am not disappointed. The hotel is clean and the room looks quite nice. Staffs aren't particularly helpful though. But still a great experience in general. It is located in the city centre, but pretty far away from the subway station. Quite a few restaurants nearby.

Stayed here on a recent business trip to Shanghai, room was excellent with all of the facilities you need, clean, good quality and huge bed Reception was ok, pretty slow at check in and check out. Concierge boys were hard working and nothing was too much trouble for them. I will be back.

I had the reservation made for me and at the back of my mind I thought it would be a tired hotel giving average service. The check in supported that view with one girl attempting to check in many people. After that though it got better. The room was spacious and well equiped. The bathroom was a big surprise with... I really enjoyed staying here. The hotel is great even for a longer business trip. I love the gym, pool and sauna. Die not expect this high quality. I stayed at premier class room which is spacious and clean. equiped with large TV, DVD and Internet. Service is good, mostly good English speaking staff. I used laundry service. Okay but... More

I just got a normal room, not a Japanese style room aside by the freeway but the noise level was low. The hotel was a little bit old but the service was OK. Wifi is separated by rooms. Each room has its own password. Taxi is ok but you need to walk for subway.

I had booked a Japanese Deluxe Garden View Room and they will not honor my booking and have given me a room over looking the freeway! I spoke to the Duty Manager and he would not doing anything about it and when I asked for his business card he said he didn't have one! However after pushing him he past... More

I have been living in Shanghai for 6 years and am in my last few days of my life here. I tried staying in an Air BNB apartment for a few days and simply couldn't handle being in what turned out to be squalor. I decided to check online knowing that this is a low peak time of year -... More

Close to line 2 metro station, and with a couple of good restaurants - one Chinese and one traditional Japanese. Nice big gym, and a spa tub with relaxing lie down turbo jets, sauna a a good sized infinity pool overlooking their own ornamental garden. A littel bit further away from the Bund, East and West Nainjing Roads but within... More

At first sight it met my expectations of a Japanese chain. The lobby looks nice, checking was very fast and courteous.. The room is nice, the bed and linens are clean and comfortable. The bathroom looks ok, but the joints of the shower are dirty, the bathtub wasn't clean with soap residue from the previous user. I had breakfast at... More

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
