Hard to complain when beautiful facilities on the Bund come for $60/night including breakfast (because they don't have a list of whose rate does and does not include it), but this is a terribly managed hotel where the skimping and skimming are visible everywhere, from the water added to the milk to the refilled shampoo bottles. Staff is surly and... More

Beautiful hotel and I had a very large, corner suite, on the 10th floor, with fantastic views! My only gripe with this room was the wi-fi, which you have to pay for and it did not work! Apparently, the router is situated in the centre of each floor, so, it does not reach the corner suites! I requested my money... More

We were wowed by this hotel by the sheer size of the rooms, especially the corner rooms. The bathrooms were huge and luxurious. The buffet breakfast had a great range of western and asian foods. Rooms had good wifi access. The hotel was a short distance out of the main hub of the city but we caught a taxi to... More

Stayed here three nights with my wife (older retired couple) and we were upgraded to an executive suite. It was very roomy with a big bathroom and well appointed. Excellent service and clean. Buffet breakfast (included) presented a full array of Western and Chinese options. English language newspaper provided. The only slight negative was the slowness of the the check-out... More

Our room overlooked the bridge. Although this was a magnificent sight it was a little noisy at times. The room was very spacious & comfortable. The location was situated about 20 minutes from the Bund by taxi which was easy to access & affordable

We were on the 9th Floor overlooking the huge suspension bridge. We watched as the boats went up & down the river. From the 32nd Floor you can take some fantastic photos of Shanghai. Also internet is available on the 32nd floor. Hotel was very clean, huge bed and comfortable. We had a TV in the bathroom as you lounge... More

Stayed at the hotel for 4 days. Beautiful and large rooms. View from the window 11 floors overlooks the pier and poor neighborhoods. No decent restaurants nearby - you can only eat in the hotel or have to go to - somewhere in the center. Service at the hotel does not correspond to the declared level of 5 stars -... More

Nice room, but on 3 sides of building , crazy noice link proximity of Highway and main Shanghai bridge. Reception and check in have poor organization, 1 or 2 people serve , no clear queue, everybody jump in front of you, no management. Compare 1 year ago, thes hotel management level decrease a lot , maybe some Head change. Few... More

This hotel was very clean & comfortable. They had a good range on offer for breakfast. The beds were comfortable but firm. The foyer was very impressive with a large sweeping staircase the there were shops in the lobby as well which was good for last minute shopping.

The first 4 days of a 2 week tour of China were spent in this beautiful hotel. We had a very large, beautifully appointed room with an amazing view of the city. The room was very hot at night & we had to request that the air conditioning be turned on. The breakfast buffet was excellent and there iwas free... More
