Our room faced the Bund and was a lovey sight in the morning and evening. The windows were a bit dirty which made for less than clear pictures, but did not affect the view. We stayed here for two evenings as part of a tour. The room, including the bathroom was well kept and clean. The TV over the bathtub... More

This was my birthday trip and Sinorama picked a great location for me to lay my tired body at night after non stop exciting itinerary. We just flew from Toronto, toured the city, had dinner and checked in to hotel for the night or to fresh up and go out. I stayed in the hotel. Went upstairs to have a... More

This hotel is beautiful. Yes, it is in an out-of-the way location, but taxis in Shanghai were very inexpensive (riding for more than a half hour cost less than US$15) The room was clean and tastefully appointed, with all the most up to date amenities. I didn't give it an "excellent" review due to the dusty, dirty Murano glass chandeliers... More

This looked like it was a grand hotel in its day but hotel lacked cleanliness and something missing. Carpets were dirty and tables and walls in room had finger prints and very dusty. Some rooms smelt of smoke. We were on a group tour and all agreed hotel lacked cleanliness and even bed sheets had holes in them. Breakfast reasonable... More

This hotel was very nice. The best feature was the curtains which opened automatically. On some sides of the hotel you could also get a great view of the city when it was not foggy. Although it was not a central location, cabs are very inexpensive and easy to take wherever you need to go.

Located ten minutes or so from nearest Metro stop. Had to ask for directions to hotel as it seems it couldn't be mapped properly on Google or Apple. Previous reviews are correct, not near the bund at all but wonderful views of it from top floors! ;D Large spacious room with automatic curtains and also a gas mask located near... More

Stayed here for two nights as part of a Sinorama China tour. Beautiful clean modern hotel with large rooms, but away from the action and not easily accessible. Despite it's name it is not anywhere near the Bund. Had some trouble with front desk staff speaking English and trying to order a room service breakfast.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights as part of a China tour. The stay was pleasant and the staff was polite and always trying to help (with moderate English proficiency). The hotel is not far from the city center by a cab. Overall a good stay and would consider it again when in Shanghai next time.

There are so many things about this place that are special: the corner suites for one! Awesome views of the Bund at night...the remote controlled draperies are spectacular themselves, and the expansive windows are breathtaking. The views alone are worth the stay here. And we find it a plus that it is not in a touristy area...just one block away... More

A more modern hotel and nice large rooms, with some interesting views of the shanghai skyline. Breakfast as per most places was warm. Staff are ok but feel most places in china need improved training in hospitality and customer service for the emerging western tourist market .
