Stayed here for two nights as part of a Sinorama China tour. Beautiful clean modern hotel with large rooms, but away from the action and not easily accessible. Despite it's name it is not anywhere near the Bund. Had some trouble with front desk staff speaking English and trying to order a room service breakfast.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights as part of a China tour. The stay was pleasant and the staff was polite and always trying to help (with moderate English proficiency). The hotel is not far from the city center by a cab. Overall a good stay and would consider it again when in Shanghai next time.

There are so many things about this place that are special: the corner suites for one! Awesome views of the Bund at night...the remote controlled draperies are spectacular themselves, and the expansive windows are breathtaking. The views alone are worth the stay here. And we find it a plus that it is not in a touristy area...just one block away... More

A more modern hotel and nice large rooms, with some interesting views of the shanghai skyline. Breakfast as per most places was warm. Staff are ok but feel most places in china need improved training in hospitality and customer service for the emerging western tourist market .

We stayed two nights with a tour that we were part of. Had a very nice, large room with great views of the city. Air conditioning actually worked with was a first for us out of 5 hotels. The floor cleanliness standards are not up to our standards and for this they lose 1 star. Carpets are dirty and stained... More

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in October 2014. Hotel met our expectations in most areas. Communication with staff at reception was somewhat difficult due to lack of English but we used our tour guide to communicate our requests. Overall a great hotel!

Stayed at the Wyndham Bund East Shanghai Hotel Sept. 16 & 17, 2014. Very beautiful hotel, very clean, modern, courteous staff, good food. Our room was spectacular; very large room, very clean, walk-in closet, large bathroom (separate room for shower, bathtub & toilet), well furnished room, very large LCD television in the room & also in the bathroom located just... Stayed here in Sept 2014, rooms were very big with a separate living area. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good. I was part of a tour group so can't comment on the location but we did not seem to travel very far on the bus to go to the tourist attractions. Wifi was free in rooms and in hotel... More

Hard to complain when beautiful facilities on the Bund come for $60/night including breakfast (because they don't have a list of whose rate does and does not include it), but this is a terribly managed hotel where the skimping and skimming are visible everywhere, from the water added to the milk to the refilled shampoo bottles. Staff is surly and... More
