We stayed here a few weeks ago for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. (2 rooms with 3 adults and 2 kids 6 & 10 yrs) The accomodations were top notch and the staff was extremely helpful, especially the concierge desk who booked our Bullet Train tickets to Beijing and even had them exchanged when we realized we had... I was booked here by a tour and was happy with the stay. Wonderful and numerous choices for a western or Asian breakfast. The overhead rain shower was a welcome change. Room was clean, the bed soft and everything worked as it should. The staff was very helpful, especially the concierge. Not really close to any sites but there is... More

This is the first time that I stayed at a non-US Courtyard and it was an outstanding experience. The hotel is 30 stories; has an very nice Exec Lounge with a great breakfast and evening cocktails and hot snacks; pool and exercise facility; along with a very good full servce restaurant with an open kitchen. My room came with virtualy... More

I have traveled in China and Taiwan previously and speak fluent Mandarin, but I still like to know what to expect when I book a hotel. Tripadvisor helps a lot, but keep in mind different people have different standards. This was reliably Courtyard, even nicer than many in the US. Location is great if you plan to use subway or... Traveling with family (2 adults, 3 kids 15, 13, 7) I prefer staying in one room on taking two rooms. Shanghai Courtyard Puxi Marriott has 2 double bed rooms which perfectly worked for my family. The rooms are spacy, the bath room is nice, the pool is a bit disappointing since there is no Jacuzzi, the staff in the lounge... More

Although this is Courtyard brand, it is definitely a lot more luxurious than any of the Courtyards that we have stayed at in the States. They currently have a stay 3 nights, but pay for only 2 promo on right now. You also get free internet for your room if you are a Rewards member. In the past, if you... More

The hotel is very nice and the rooms are well taken care of. The folks at the concierge were quite helpful as well. The location is not bad and close to people square, it's also close to the subway but the area seems a bit shady but we didn't have any problems. It's also easy to get around in a... More

The hotel is is stylish and modern design. The location is convenience, 5-min walk away from Shanghai station and metro station. There are some city buses toward downtown in front of hotel. But only a few of shops/ restaurants surrounding it. The room is very new, big and clean. We have comfortable stay. Breakfast is also great. The staff is... More

Overall this is a very nice hotel, much better than a Courtyard you would normally find in the US. I gave this hotel 3-Star ratings by comparing it to other hotels I stayed in China. The 3-star ratings is primarily because of two factors: location and service (yes, I expect much better service in China). Location: The hotel is located... More

After many considerations taking into account location, price and TA reviews, I selected Courtyard by Marriott Puxi. I have no regrets at all. As others have noted, the physical condition of the property is new and not representative of a typical Courtyard in the US. It has an upscale atmosphere from lobby to rooms. The rooms are very comfortable and... More
