This is a great hotel if you need to stay near Hongqiao Airport. Very clean and confortable. Good mix western and chinese breakfast. But not much more than that... There is a restaurant in the hotel. Is it far from the city center and if you want to go out to eat, is better go to one of the restaurants... More

Very european looking hotel, with Greek and mix European structure. Entry is grand and looks rich. Inside lobby is breathtaking and overall make you feel good. For this price point in Shanghai I would rate it best. Overall rooms are great, spacious with good bath and very comfortable bed. Though I had room facing highway and flyover, but windows are... An interesting place - you can almost see the train station and are in very close proximity to the runways, but due to the odd layout of the fly-overs and roads, it take a good twenty minutes to get to either. The rooms were nice - sadly we had one above the ballroom which was a real mistake, as we... More

The first impressions you get when you pull up at this hotel is that inspite of the industrial nature of the surrounding buildings, the hotel looks like it was built in the European Belle Epoque era. When you step inside you are greeted by a massive marble laden lobby that looks opulent. However, that is when the excitement ends. The... More

or 50 min. depending on your luck with the taxi driver. Always carry the name of the hotel printed in Chinese characters and the phone number of the hotel. Stayed one night before a trip from Hongqiao airport. The hotel was in a decent shape. The stay was utterly unremarkable. Which was good! free shuttle to the airport. value for... More

Nice enough hotel , but in the middle of a concrete jungle , nowhere to walk to . Steer clear of the Western restaurant , no English speaking staff , awful food , atrocious service and we were the only 4 people there . Also do not have your hair freshly dyed before staying there ! They wanted me to... More

All the comfort you would expect from a Howard Johnson, very spacious rooms comfortable and all the amenities you would require. Great bar to relax in - quiet but very sociable owner who made me feel very welcome without being intrusive or over-bearing. They do an airport transfer but only really found this out after I arrived but the taxi... More

We choose this hotel because we needed to be close to the Honqiao Railroad station for a long distance train. The Hotel is relatively remote from downtown Shanghai and actually still a 15 minute taxi ride from the RRStation/Airport. But the quality of the hotel is excellent, the staff is English speaking and provides all services. Beds are sumptuous in... More

The dirty, loud rooms (on one side new highway, on the other side railway) is only topped by the worst service you can think of: expensive, very bad restaurant, unfriendly staff and not working wifi. Do not book this place ever!

Firstly it is worth highlighting upfront this hotel is an airport hotel, NOT a Shanghai destination hotel. If you stay here expecting to use it as a base for Shanghai and Pudong you will be extremely disappointed. We stayed here overnight having arrived at Pudong and taking an early morning train from Hongqiao to Beijing. We arrive at 1am and... More
