My company booked me into a 1 bedroom premier for a 2 month stay. I visited 2 weeks prior to checking in to see the rooms and facilities but due to full occupancy, was only able to see the public areas. Upon check in I was given room 3106 per my request to be on a high floor to avoid... More

A comfortable and clean serviced apartment in one of the main areas of Shanghai, that is a good mix of commercial, shopping and nightlife. Many offices close by, and shoopingmalls such as Times Square and K11, is a quick walk away. Check In: I arrived quite late and the lobby area is quite small, and could tell it was more... More

I’m an American expat, and I’ve been living at the Ascott for 1 month. When moving here, it was difficult to find answers to all my questions, so I want to provide all the information that I can for other expats moving to Shanghai. My company is paying for my residence, so price is not considered in my review or... More

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as it was recommended by my brother. This hotel only offers serviced apartments and I stayed in a studio. The size of the room was decent, upon entry into the room, there is a small kitchenette with full facilities, before leading onto the bedroom. There is an adjourning closet area and a... More

If you are travelling in a large group this is an excellent choice. The rooms were large, well equipped, well decorated and great value if you are sharing. In fact even if you are travelling alone, the prices are cheaper than most 5* hotels in the same area. The location is fantastic as you are bang in the middle of... More

Lovely hotel and great location , the rooms are clean and very comfortable ... service could be a bit better on check in and restaurant staff are rude . Hotel is near to a lovely park for walk and has a shopping mall attached .

Dear guest, Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay, it is very useful to us. Up until the 18th of December, we are really full, which causes our check-in and check out to be somewhat slower than usual and our staff are handling guests from around the world arriving at different hours of the day so that has put... My colleague's bookings were messed up - so do remember to confirm your booking with them before arriving. Location is great, I love the K11 mall next door. Walkable distance to Shanghai Museum and Xin Tian Di area. Service was ok. Toilet drainage was not good (keeps flooding during shower). Room is spacious though shows signs of wear and tear... More

Dear Tan S, Thank you for writing feedback on Trip Advisor! I am sorry that your booking had some problem, but during the time of your stay we were running full occupancy and some rooms had to be re-assigned. Basically, if you can check-in early in the day your room should be secured and you may have more choice of... More

Excellent, well-serviced apartments in the heart of the Xintiandi district of Central Shanghai. Great service, great place to stay and very convenient to public transport and amenities. I would recommend highly.

We stayed in this hotel 6 nights, we booked a one bedroom suite but were upgraded to two bedroom which was very nice. The best part of it is it's vicinity to XinTianDi and other malls. The staff is friendly enough. Breakfast is not very impressive, but we rarely got up early enough to get breakfast except once. It's not... More

Staying in People’s Square

Neighborhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
