Location is very convenient: close to subway for all main sites anc close to a large mall with a lot of good restaurant and stores. Hotel is a little bit hard to find but just cross the street in front of subway exit 7 and enter the second building on your left , upstairs. Reception is in room 1310 !... More

This hotel is located in an office building very close to the metro station on the metro line to both airports and the bullet train. The rates for this hotel are very low for a room with four beds (we were 2 adults and 2 children). There is a close by shopping mall so it's very convenient. The down part... More

Other than the few conveniences of being located across from the underground, a couple of malls & a few convenience shops , that is a it has going for the accomodation. Firstly if you have more than an average size luggage , you need to either lug it all the way to the 2 nd level by stairs or try... More

The Mayson Apartment Hotel is a "typical" Chinese experience. My recommendation is for persons who have experience with Asia it's a reasonable accomodation at a good location. For travellers who don't know Asia it's maybe a little rough for starting. The location at Zhongshan Park is very good - subway station close with three main lines, a huge shopping center... More

Staying in Zhongshan Park

Neighborhood Profile
Zhongshan Park
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
