This hotel has a good location, near to the Bund and walking distance to the subway and shopping streets. This is nothing luxurious but it was ok for the week we spent in Shanghai. The beds were actually from hell since they were too hard, but for the price we paid, we cannot complain.

The place is really convenient, near metro station and Shanghai Bund, and very quiet. The counter service was pretty good. And the room was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was the quality of restaurant, just so-so. By the way, the building is not high, so there's no great views. For average, it was a good place to stay. 交通方便(接近地鐵站與外灘,但很安靜)、櫃台接待態度很好、房間乾淨舒適,惟餐廳品質有待加強。另外樓層低,沒有風景可看。整體而言,是個很不錯的住宿地點。

Located near the bund but roads are always dark and quiet. Walking distance from the Nanjinglu metro station. Room was dark. No wifi in the room I was staying, had to access it outside the room in the lobby. Pillows are too soft. Minimum staff in the hotel.

-I would classify this as 3 stars hotel instead of 4. -Reach hotel at midnight, the room is full with dust, the next day request room services only feel acceptable. -Their mattress is hard, for those don't like might lost some point, for me is acceptable. -Front desk services are good, whenever request they attend immediately. -Hotel location is excellent,... Stayed there during my China business visit. Its a lonely walk from nearest station. Road is always quiet, and sometimes feel spooky. Entrance of hotel is bit inside from road, and could be missed if not on GPS. But overall ok. But be sure to close curtains and windows are just opening to direction of other tall building from where... More

Very disappointing hotel and very poor customer service. I booked four nights at the Baron Bund Hotel because we had business meetings in Shanghai. It is nothing like the photos on Agoda. The hotel is situated at the end of a dirty alley and is very old. It is a tired old hotel which has had a very poor upgrade... More

This hotel has a charmingly misleading web page and advertises itself as a 4 star facility, but instead it's a 2 star - level place, comparable to Hanting hotel chain... except that Hanting has more modern facilities, such as three prong American-style electrical sockets and is cleaner. The only great thing about Baron is its location next to Nanjing Rd... More

The Baron Hotel not so big, but very convenient, and very close to Waitan, also not far from Downtown, such as Nanjing Street; Room big and comfortable, even near main road, still could have good sleep. No coffee spoon, may let some people from America or Europe feel not so convenient.I book the room online with reasonable rate, otherwise, you... More

I found this hotel for the best location, 3 minutes walk to The Bund and 5 minutes to the East Nanjing metro station, as I stayed for 2 weeks. The price is excellent, the rooms are very clean, very good service and you get Wi-fi in the lobby (this could be better). There is a PC in the room but... More

staying here for 10 days. Beds are very very firm, service is average, breakfast is suspect. The ringing bells every half have been irritating, now I am used to them...from room 405. This place is value for the dollar based on the location. However, if you do not like very hard beds, your vacation could be in jeopardy. carpet in... More
