Having stayed in various rated hotels in SH, this one is pretty basic but it is a Hanting so a certain level of quality can be expected. location is about 10 mins walk from jing an temple. it is situated off a main road so doesnt seem to be affected by traffic noise. room seemed ok, good value for money,... I stayed over for 4 nights here in Nov 2013, and the hotel is very good option for business travellers. The rooms are nice are clean, the provide free wifi and have comfortable beds. Rooms are spacious and you also have a good working table to put your laptop and work comfortably. I had trouble with food and service -... More

I spent 2 nights here. I am an Australian. It is walking distance (10 minutes) to Jing'an Temple ("Jingan si") , which is surrounded by lots of chinese and western restaurants. The temple is on the edge of the shopping district , and has a underground Rail station. As usual it had a hard bed - a common theme in... More

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
