Didn't expect much for the price but the room was absolutely filthy with hair and dirt around the bed and we couldn't use shower because of the unsanitary conditions. The shower floor was full of black hair. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable we packed up and left in the night for The Marriott!! The staff were not helpful... More

It is just 5 mins walked from the Nanjing West Road subway station, exit 3 line 2, and walkable distance to the shopping area. The establishment is a mid range inn in the Hanting lineup, and quite full due to the location. No fills, a good budget choice in that area. All rooms have windows, which is a plus. Odd... More

Visited Shanghai for a 2 week stay at the hotel and my overall view is that the location is excellent. The hotel is right behind Four Seasons Hotel and close by to Howard Johnson Business Suite Hotel. There's a Family Mart close by (5 mins walk), in the same direction to all the hot spots and West Nanjing Road. The... More

In the middle of centre city. Just 5 minutes from West Nanjing subway station. Surrounding by shops. The staff speaks English fluently. The room + bathroom is clean, even quite small. In the bathroom they provide 2toothbrush+toothpaste, too. They make up room every day. Because of there is development near the hotel, car maybe a little bit difficult to reach/parking... More

First up, fantastic location very close to the Nanjing West subway station (one stop from People's Square). This also means if you want to take the Maglev from Pudong Airport, you do not need the change subway lines. Slightly down the road is Wujiang Road, which is known for its street eats-- definitely worth a visit. All sort of shops... More

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
