This is an average hotel for people on a tight budget (but still one-up from a hostel). Rooms are comfortable with bathroom, air con, hot water and safe. It is a 5 minute walk to two metro stations (Xiananmen and Nanpu Bridge) with the latter being more straightforward. Taxis from the centre of town cost about 20-30RMB. Breakfast isn't included... I absolutely loved staying in the silk market area-great street food and local restaurants. We were close to the metro but this place was hard to find and the staff was pretty useless and very unfriendly. I booked a non-smoking room but, I quickly learned that doesn't mean much in China, and our room reeked of cigarettes. The room was... More

Me and my wife stayed at Rayfont Hotel in Shanghai from 07/04/2015 till the 13/04/2015. We walked in our room (6th floor) expecting a 4 star room and our first impressions were dissapointing. Once we settled in and got used to the look the best word to describe it is mediocre. Another dissapointment was the Wifi. Cannot connect from the... More

Strictly a business hotel. No frills attached. located in the Central Business District of Shanghai and around 10 minutes driving distance from the Nanjing East Road and Waitan Beach and also walking distance from nanpu bridge tube station. got a steal deal $67 for two nights with late check-out. English speaking front desk and helpful staff. breakfast was not included... More

The hotel is close to the subway station. It is in a local residential neighborhood and it took a while for me to find it. Nothing much nearby, except a few average-looking restaurants. The hotel was very clean, but everything looked quite old in there. Overall it was pleasant to stay.

This 4 star hotel isn't bad located just near to one of the fake markets and tailor market where you can get pretty good deals if you know how to bargain. Nanpu bridge is just infront and local\traditional market right outside the hotel. Not bad average 4 star in Shanghai.

A very comfortable budget hotel. Staff very pleasant. I would compare it very favourably with other hotels in the area costing twice the price. I recommend the apartment suites as being comfortable and inexpensive.

This is a pretty good apart-hotel, one of the four Rayfonts in Shanghai. Location-wise it has pluses and minuses: 5-10 min walk from 2 subway stations (Nanpu Bridge Line 4 and Xiaonanmen station Line 9), but no major supermarket/shopping center nearby. There are though plenty of local restaurants and 7-11s right outside. It's also right across the street from what... More

Very convenient and reasonable hotel. If you use public transportation such as bus and subway. The nearest bus stop is Liujyabanglu x hai chaolu, bus number 43 or 931 from Dapuqiao subway station. Of course you can use Nan pu da qiao station which is the nearest subway station. Regarding the room, the bed is comfortable, and the sheet is... More
