This hotel is on a good location it was clean and comfortable. The pictures on their website are deceiving the hotel is split up over different building. There was no nice lobby like I was expecting and we failed to find the swimming pool after a few attempts. The staff here are all Chinese and were not in the least... More

Not at all a standard of advertised 4 stars. 3 – more likely. Clean – not so much in the room and all over the place. Quiet – so-so. Something that makes you feel like you can expect much more.. Not much English at the front desk. Wi-Fi only in the front lobby which is a major pain for the... More

Their booking service is totally broken!!! Book if you're not worried about getting turned down. I arrived after booking through Expedia and after already paid. The reception told me the hotel was full and he could not help me (he did however let me charge up my phone so I didn't have to leave with a dead phone). There were... More

We had booked a room on Hotels.com. It was a cheap option but we thought we would give it a go. When we arrived at the reception desk however the receptionist told us (only in Chinese. No English) that we didn't have a room. He refused to look at our confirmation number and email and also did nothing to help... More

Here's an interesting bit of info, this hotel are called Rayfont south bund hotel, I reckon it is so that you can't find them on tripadvisor. My boyfriend and I are traveling around China and south east Asia. To save money we booked this hotel. It looks like a badly kept apartment block. It appears people smoke in the hotel,... More

This one is average budget hotel having English speaking staff at the reception. Room are a bit small but bathrooms are good , having shower and bath tub both. Other than staff at reception no one can speak english. Not bad as per the room tariff.

Stayed for 6 nights and still couldn't find any reason for its self awarded 4 stars rating. This was previously known as Summit Hotel and the new owner has carried out renovation. The lobby is small and dimly lit with worn out sofas. The reception staff are well below par as command of English is poor and lack tourist information.... More

This is an average hotel for people on a tight budget (but still one-up from a hostel). Rooms are comfortable with bathroom, air con, hot water and safe. It is a 5 minute walk to two metro stations (Xiananmen and Nanpu Bridge) with the latter being more straightforward. Taxis from the centre of town cost about 20-30RMB. Breakfast isn't included... I absolutely loved staying in the silk market area-great street food and local restaurants. We were close to the metro but this place was hard to find and the staff was pretty useless and very unfriendly. I booked a non-smoking room but, I quickly learned that doesn't mean much in China, and our room reeked of cigarettes. The room was... More
