Hotel is located next to a bridge but quiet for urban location. Within walking distance of the Bund and East Nanjing Road, short walk to East Nanjing Road metro station. Staff is young and earnest and speaks English. Bottled water, towels, and toiletries provided. Room itself was somewhat dated and a little dark, even with all the lights on. In... More

We were incredibly surprised by this hotel. Some of the reviews made us a little skeptical, however, we couldn't believe our eyes. Positives:- Get off at East Nanjing station and exit at no 2. Turn left and walk about 500 meters to hotel. Doesn't look much from front, but don't be concerned. Reception staff fantastic. Can't do enough for you... More

I was sure the taxi driver had dropped us at the wrong place when we were dropped off at a small market down a backstreet alley. My wife was confident that we were where we were supposed to be and barrelled on past the oranges and slabs of meat calling over her shoulder "it's down here somewhere" until eventually even... We enjoyed our stay at the Fish Bund. Arriving late, we found that the hotel had upgraded us to the suite and it was quite lovely. It gave us the boutique hotel feel without the boutique hotel cost. Follow the directions on the website for a easy walk from the metro.

This hotel is ok, but nothing to rave about. As mentioned a few times in reviews about this hotel, you get what you pay for (so in that sense, it's good value for money). It's in a great location; very close to Nanjing Road (pedestrian shopping mall) and the East Nanjing Road metro. You can also walk to and from... More

Stayed here from 27/12/2014 to 3/1/2015. Pros: 1. Great location, its around 5 minutes walk to the Nanjiang East Road Mrt and a 8 mins walk to Shanghai Nanjing Road, Pedestrian Street (for shopping). It is also a 3 mins walk to an eatery making the most delicious Xiaolongbaos I have ever tasted. 2. Friendly and helpful front office staffs.... More

The hotel is very basic. We had a problem with the heater and they changed us to another room! The hotel as most of china is not as clean as western countries. Dust is everywhere! The service is Nice and staff good. The bed is uncomfortable, too hard! Just stay there If you want to save money and have a... More

What a great place to stay! As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a friendly warm reception who spoke English and was very polite and approachable. I have stayed in several hotels throughout China and this was the best for English speaking. All the staff were just lovely. The room was clean, spacious and with a balcony. The... More

I stayed in the Fish Inn for 1 night in November 2014. The hotel is very well located in being 4-5 minutes walk from the Metro station and 10 minutes walk from the Bund. The staff were really excellent. They spoke good English and were very friendly. My room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was... More
