The Fish Inn is very well placed for exploring Shanghai, close to the metro, the shops and a short walk from the Bund. The ladies at reception, Cherry and Astrid, are very kind and helpful. We had a apartment with three bedrooms, a small sitting room and a bathroom. It was was able to sleep six. The apartment was clean... More

Two short blocks away from Nanjing Road and the Bund with a mall and underground food court and market a block away, you enter the hotel through an alley where the locals lay fresh vegetables and fruits on the ground to sell to the locals. Once inside the first thing you see is a small bar and behind it to... More

Not expensive but still very very nice. Location is very good close to the heart of the city. Rooms are decent not fancy but comfortable. Flow of water(Shower) in my bathroom was not the best and i hope thats not the case in all rooms. Staff at the reception was very helpful and welcoming (The best i have seen in... More

Hotel is located next to a bridge but quiet for urban location. Within walking distance of the Bund and East Nanjing Road, short walk to East Nanjing Road metro station. Staff is young and earnest and speaks English. Bottled water, towels, and toiletries provided. Room itself was somewhat dated and a little dark, even with all the lights on. In... More

We were incredibly surprised by this hotel. Some of the reviews made us a little skeptical, however, we couldn't believe our eyes. Positives:- Get off at East Nanjing station and exit at no 2. Turn left and walk about 500 meters to hotel. Doesn't look much from front, but don't be concerned. Reception staff fantastic. Can't do enough for you... More

I was sure the taxi driver had dropped us at the wrong place when we were dropped off at a small market down a backstreet alley. My wife was confident that we were where we were supposed to be and barrelled on past the oranges and slabs of meat calling over her shoulder "it's down here somewhere" until eventually even... We enjoyed our stay at the Fish Bund. Arriving late, we found that the hotel had upgraded us to the suite and it was quite lovely. It gave us the boutique hotel feel without the boutique hotel cost. Follow the directions on the website for a easy walk from the metro.

This hotel is ok, but nothing to rave about. As mentioned a few times in reviews about this hotel, you get what you pay for (so in that sense, it's good value for money). It's in a great location; very close to Nanjing Road (pedestrian shopping mall) and the East Nanjing Road metro. You can also walk to and from... More
