Full range of toiletries, laptop size safe, good internet connection, subway nearby esp impt if traveling during peak hours (cabs can choose not to take you due to congestion of popular areas), saw two restaurants in same or connected building (xin wang HK cafe n yuan yuan restaurant- I didn't try), walking distance to huge malls ( not sure what... Stayed here as my office was just walking distance. The hotel is good for business travelers, it is not high end or fancy but comfortable. Has a pretty good breakfast, gym and Bar which is important for a traveler! The location is good because you can walk to plenty of malls around as well as some nice restaurants around. The... More

My client booked me into the hotel on front and back ends of a week-long trip to Shanghai. I found the hotel to be very clean and the staff to be very hospitable and helpful. I had access to the Executive Lounge for breakfast and happy hour - nice selection of food and drink and, for for me, a morning... More

The room size is alright for single person, but would feel small for two persons. Only a small window in the room, gave out the feel of being stuffy. Complimentary coffee and tea in room not being replenished. Generally, the service is good nonetheless. Appreciate the service staff on standby near the elevator. Front desk personnel are also friendly and... More

Very nice and perfect fitting to the cost. Nice rooms, good space and nicely equipped. Good to great beds, sleeping very well. Great location, near to central city and easy access all over. Very good service by the staff. Place to stay at.

The gym is also quite good and all in all I its a reliable place. Drinks are pricey but make sure you go in the... More

Good and clean business hotel with average sized rooms and a good gym facility. Service is very good and the Resto isn't too bad either. A good stay when in this section of Shanghai. Only downside is the location which is about a 15min can ride to downtown and the main attractions.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Courtyard. I'm used to staying at the Courtyards back in the United States, and this is totally different. I would say this Courtyard is easily 4 stars and 100% full service. I got a corner room (1601) and it included a great view of the city with windows on two sides of the room.... More

I stayed in Courtyard Xujiahui hotel for 2 nights in May. I really enjoyed the stay. The hotel is nicely located close to the city metro just 30 min from Pudong airport. I was impressed by size and cleanliness of the room, very good breakfast and meal services in general. Also the room rate is reasonable, I paid about 100... More

Staying in Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang

Neighborhood Profile
Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang
West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities. While living here means you are relatively far away from Shanghai’s usual hot spots, the large parks, spacious homes and proximity to great Japanese and Korean food keep the neighborhoods popular.
