This hotel seems to be part of a hotel chain in China. I booked it via Agoda. It was very cheap. But booking cheap could also mean getting cheap. In this case it was the lowest level of the 3 hotels I booked during the trip. Some Chinese I talked to were even surprised that I was able to book... More

I have stayed in a few Hanting hotels in China and they all seem to be concise and well managed and 'reasonably' good value for money. This one, situated about 10 minutes walk from Zhongshan Park itself is no different. Basic rates are reasonable as mentioned but the better, bigger rooms are quite expensive in comparison to other places, some... More

After Hanting Express in Suzhou we've decided to try the hotel from the same network in our next destination - Shanghai. We've started from one night, but stayed for two (!) weeks :) The staff is friendly (well, this is a hotel, not youth hostel), the facilities are excellent (and the room is extensively cleaned every day by 3 women... Staying in Zhongshan Park

Neighborhood Profile
Zhongshan Park
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
