Within 10 mins walking of the subway station, a major shopping area & 15mins walk to the Bund, so location was fine. The room was fairly small, but the bathroom was nearly the same size again Had a great view looking over Pudong. Furnishings & fittings in the room were worn, the bed mattress certainly needed replacing Found the room... More

The only positive point about the hotel is the location of it. The rooms are dirty, the floor's condition is lamentable, the cleaning is superficial. The staff is impolite. The wifi is slow and only available in the lounge. Altogether there are only three chairs in this place, to use the internet. If you try to sit in the bar... More

Fantastic view from the room of Shanghai city. Recommended for couples. Central location to all attractions. Lobby area needs renovation but room condition is acceptable. Reception staff has limited english proficiency but made effort to assist us in every way.

Arrived late at night ,, only to have front desk say there was a "water leak" on our floor so they sent us to a sketchy hotel down the street. Not at all impressed . However,, the bell boy brought us to this hotel and picked us up first thing the next morning... Bell boys were great. Front dest wasn't... More

I found that many of the other reviews are true when it comes to issues of maintenance, dated look etc. However, the location is excellent, the views great, the breakfast very good, well worth it if you get a deal on the superior rooms on the upper floors. I paid a pittance for a 2-room suite with glorious views of... More

Rather old style hotel. Excellent value for money. We stayed at superior twin and double rooms. The twin bed room was bigger and bathtub included. The qweenbed room had shower only. But very convenient and nice hotel.

We stayed at the bund riverside hotel for only 2 days in January 2015. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and spacious and the location is a 5 minute walk to nanjing st which is the main shopping strip. Also a 5 minute walk to people's square and a 10 minute cab ride (4dollars canadian) to another popular... More

The hotel is in a good location - for sure - but still a 15 min. walk to the Bund. It is showing signs of age and the lobby furniture is tatty. I was locked out of my room 4 times in a week's stay as the lock was faulty. Each time a repairman was called and came immediately and... More
