To begin with the service for the customers is so poor, Don't ever change your money at the hotel. the hotel has a weird smell in their corridors, the towels had this weird smell on them every day. i also caught one of their staff spitting on the floor inside the hotel. Definitely not a 4 star Hotel.

Even thought the location is OK, the hotel staff is totally non courteous and their behaviour will spoil the experience of your overall stay in Shanghai. Carpets are old and stinking !! Room Tariff is too high for what is on offer. Pls. avoid. a Total No-No.

We stayed at this hotel for a 3 night stop over before returning home. The room was large and air con seemed to work ok. There was the option to have the windows open if required. The bed was very hard, and the carpet needed cleaning. The bathroom was large but could have done with a good clean. The water... More

Shop for this hotel on the internet and you'll save a lot of money. We used Agoda and were pleasantly surprised by the a 40% savings. There a lot of room choices in the hotel and but upper floors have magnificent city and river views. Their executive floor is worth the extra price and maybe the hotel will upgrade you... More

Hotel itself was quite nice but the service - dreadful. Restaurant absolutely useless - ordered two meals, got one and it was the wrong one. Ordered bottle of wine and they didn't have it (they had only 1 bottle of white wine in stock). Housekeeping OK - concierge couldn't even get us a taxi or anyone to help with our... More

Based on the many good reviews from tripadvisor, I booked this hotel but I was disappointed. Not only was it more expensive than the one that we stayed in at East Nanjing Road, when we arrived in Shanghai a few days before we left for Xi'an, but it is located in an area which is dimly lit at night and... I stayed at this hotel at the end of August 2014. It is very easy to get to as it sits above two subway lines (10&2). the best station is East Nanging Road, on Line 10, exit 5. It is then a leisurely 10 minute walk. Reception area is quite 'grand' with lovely chandeliers and furnishings. Staff are reasonably bilingual... More

I thought this place was a great value. About $200 for a nice room with a great view of Lujiazui. Clear view of the Oriental Pearl tower which looks really cool lit up at night. Couldn't really see the other skyscrapers like Shanghai Tower because of the smog but I recognized Jin Mao for a while in the morning. Reception... More

Everything in the hotel, the warm welcome received, the room overlooking the Bund offering a great view, its location within walking distance to the markets, and all happening places in Shanghai, makes the Hotel a great place to stay. One bad thing is they have deducted 900 yuan extra from my credit card, inspite of my paying the full room rent,... More

Stayed here for two nights in August 2014, only payed £35 per night and we also had a free upgrade to an Executive Room. The Room it's self was massive, with a marble walled Bathroom , which included a extra deep bath, a walkin shower and an electronic toilet that we couldnt work out except the seat warmer. The Bed...
