This hotel is perfectly located between People square and the Bund (10 minutes walking distance from both). 5 minutes from Nanjing pedestrian road. The quality/price is simply great (45 euros per night for a double spacious room high floor). Service is ok. Housekeeping very good and linen changed every other day. Concierge (jackson and the new trainee) very well prepared... More

The hotel is average. We were upgraded to the executive floors and had a fantastic view and room. The rest of the hotel is average (the elevators are weirdly disconnected and slow, the front desk staff speak very little English). Great location to see Shanghai from.

We stayed here with our tour group (Gate 1). It is located about 2 blocks from the main shopping street & about a 15 min. Walk to the main water strip with the amazing views. Some rooms in the hotel face the Bund & have amazing views of the water front & all the amazing buildings in Shanghai. Our room... More

The hotel is not brand new, but in my opinion was built as a 5 stars hotel. The location is very good. Just 2 minutes walk from the central walking street. There are several bars on the first 4 floors where there are some local people, and maybe it's a bit noisy, but the rooms are on higher floors and... More

Booked the hotel online based on reviews. The location could not be better...two blocks to shopping on Nanjing Road, less than 10 minutes to The Bund, and less than 10 minutes to the Metro (Line 10 takes you to Yu Garden and Xintindi which are both worth visiting). I am a big fan of eating where the locals do and... More

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and on arrival the receptionist asked for my credit card for a deposit, quite normal nowdays but then he asked for my pin number!! I told him I don't give out my pin number and he looked quite insulted and handed over the machine for me to key in my pin, this... More

We arrived at the Bund Riverside Hotel at midnight for a 5 night stay after 21 hours of travel, and must admit that we were less than impressed with the room on opening the door. Firstly, we couldn't get the lights and power in the room to activate because of a dodgy card reader. We asked for the maintenance man... More

The hotel is not bad. Rooms decent although showering in a bathtub doesn't belong in 2014 in a 4 star hotel in a city like hotel. Breakfast choice pretty poor, doesn't really cater for non-Chinese travellers. The location is great, and we had a great view over Pudong from our room, however you have to be lucky to get a... More

To begin with the service for the customers is so poor, Don't ever change your money at the hotel. the hotel has a weird smell in their corridors, the towels had this weird smell on them every day. i also caught one of their staff spitting on the floor inside the hotel. Definitely not a 4 star Hotel.

Even thought the location is OK, the hotel staff is totally non courteous and their behaviour will spoil the experience of your overall stay in Shanghai. Carpets are old and stinking !! Room Tariff is too high for what is on offer. Pls. avoid. a Total No-No.
