I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Affordable, but still nice. Clean, good bathroom, comfortable beds. The location is great - easy walk to the Bund and easy to find taxis nearby. All staff I talked to were friendly, helpful, and spoke English.

We stayed as a group of 3 with 2 rooms for 3 nights. the rooms were comfortable and reasonable size, the beds as expected hard. Its a short 10 minute walk to the bund and to the main western shopping strip, which is just as well as there is not much else in the way of restaurants and shops close... More

While having breakfast on the morning the tour group I was with was due to depart, my room was entered. All my money, jewellery and 2 mobile phones were stolen. As the group was leaving for the airport at 8 am, I feel that the timing of the theft was planned as there was not enough time for a thorough... More

Great location, staff very accommodating. We arrived very early but could leave bags and go exploring. Easy to navigate around using the Metro (very close to hotel - 5 mins). Rooms reasonable size no issue with bathroom or Wi-Fi. Bed was pretty hard but many are in China. Cleanliness was OK. Not all staff speak English but could make ourselves... More

I staid in this hotel for one night in July 2014, and liked this hotel quite a bit. I had a very cheap price but my room had no window. Having no window was not great, but for a single night it was not a huge issue. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities I was wishing... More

Very good position, 5 min walking from the East Nanjiing Road. I booked a superior room with view on the river. Very good size, big bathroom with decent shower. Comfortable bed, Wi-Fi working properly. Cleanliness in the average. Helpful staff, except for those not speaking in english and a bit of difficulty in city orienteering but hey... it's Shanghai!Helpful with... More

Check in was quick and easy Slightly annoying they required a 900 CNY deposit at check in to cover any damages Room was one of their renovated rooms and nice comfy room, great shower. On the 7th floor, we had room 709. We had a balcony which overlooked the river and the street below. We enjoyed our 3 night stay... More

I enjoyed my stay here, finding it comfortable and pleasant enough. There was just 'something' missing to prevent a 5th star. The staff were very helpful, and the hotel card had Shanghai's most popular sights written in Mandarin on the back. However, the Hotels's location, while close to Nanjing Rd and The Bund, is not the easiest to find. The... More

this hotel is located near Nanjing road and the city downtown markets where you can try local meals. Best part room huge, bath tubs and better beds. Sad part no English tv shows. The receptionist has a good command of English. The hotel is an old hotel but best kept and the service is quick. Make sure you differentiate from... More

If you travel to Shanghai and want a good value for money hotel in an excellent location, then "The Bund Riverside Hotel" surely is the right choice. It is located in Beijing East Road, very near to the Bund and East Nanjing Road, not so easy to find at first because the main entrance of the hotel lies in a... More
