I have actually stayed here twice , this current time and two years ago in 2013, I wanted to give it a second chance. Le Tour could be unique but feels less so. Its down a old alley, In a nice area, 10 mins walk to Jing'an Temple metro, with all the accessibility and quirkiness to make it great, but... More

Cool hostel in old factory with really clean room which I felt right at home. The hostel is in a great neighbourhood with small streets, cosy restaurants and shops. The location is only a couple of metro stops away from the Bund and in walking distance to the very hip French Concession, where we had a lot of great lunches... More

We stayed in a private twin double for the two nights we were here, as a break from shared dooms. The room was exactly what we expected and needed, with a couple of minor quibbles - to get Wifi we needed to borrow a router from reception with a deposit, and the buffet breakfast was not included in the price.... My 6 bed dorm was clean and comfortable. The hostel had a quiet communal area with sofas, ping pong and pool. There is a bar on the top floor which isn't cheap but is pretty nice and has seats indoors and outdoors. The hostel is hard to find and the directions and map provided don't make it clear that it... I stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting Shanghai. The location was good (about 10 mins away from Subway line 2 which is convenient for getting near the Bund, People's Square and etc). I was a bit worried when we turned into this back alley that looked quite rough! but the hostel was nicely done, the room was... More

Reception staff are not clued in at all, do not expect help with information about tours etc. I stayed in a 4 room female dorm, which was ok. Good common areas. Only drawback is the somewhat creepy very short walk you have to do to get to the road as the hostel is on a tiny alley. No problem during... More

If you are a solo traveller, just want a bed to sleep, Le tour can be an option. The price is acceptable. However, if you are looking for more than this, better try other places, for you might feel lost easily.

I stayed at Le Tour for 4 nights and returned for a 5th night after a side trip to Beijing. I really enjoyed my stay here. It was quiet and clean which is what I wanted. I booked a private room with a private bathroom. The bed is very firm which worked for me, the shower worked well and the... More

Probably deserves a 3 star rating, but need to provide balance to some other reviews. I stayed in a biaojian (single room). The room was clean, and my stay overall was ok, and it was easy to come and go, which is largely what I needed. Positives are largely listed out in other reviews. A few of the less-awesome aspects:... More

At the end of my solo backpacking trip across china, stayed in a girls dorm room with 2 bunk beds. It was austere but clean. Each person in room has a locker large enough to stow my entire back pack. The showers were clean (but you will want shower shoes - as you would at any hostel in china). Convenient... More
