Stayed two nights at this hotel for business. Rooms and bathrooms are not clean and looked aged needs an overall. Breakfast is Chinese and sent to the room, if you're not up on time its left on the floor. Reception staff do not speak English so getting information on taxi's and location is very minimum. ideally suited for the Chinese... More

Knowing how China can be very uncomfortable if you are not "rich" to enjoy luxuries hotel, this hotel does a lot. Cheap enough and with 24 hour mart on the first floor helps out a lot. There is a massage place across the road and again clean and nice with reasonable price. Transportation just helps a lot. There are McDonalds... More

There is very little signage making it a guessing game to find it. Location is very close to exit 7 Zhongshan Park Metro stop which is great. Some small eating places close by. Rooms are not that clean, carpet was very dirty, rooms noisy from line 3/4 metro which is above ground. Front desk staff good English and helpful

The entrance of the hotel is quiet hard to find, an additional sign would be welcome. The service at the front-desk was okay, but nothing special. When asking where the sub-way could be found the answer was "Just go outside".... true, the sub-way is a little to the left across the street... but then just say "If you go outside,... More

Staying in Zhongshan Park

Neighborhood Profile
Zhongshan Park
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
