Central location, close to sub-way and bus station, friendly staff, affordable price, clean rooms, comfortable bed, clean (though old) towels, working internet, in house convenience store, several eating places around - in short a decent, functional place to stay. Some repairs to the building are needed though. Would stay there again when in Shanghai.

It is a very convenient hotel both in terms of location and pricing. Rooms are small but clean internet cable works, while wifi is not efficient. Check-in and Check-out procedure are slow, due to the few people behind the desk (two more could speed the process) Overall, good value for money

Found it to be of the same standard as other Motel 168 we have stayed in.... rooms well worn, but great showers, bed comfortable , room not cleaned well.... Make sure you bring your own toilet paper as none provided but the good thing is they do have toothbrush and paste in room. Check in and check out is done... More

Its clean, nice and undoubtedly for the location worth it. Access to all around Shanghai is brilliant even with the subway closeby.. for long stay where you want to save big money, i dont have complaints at all. Good food choice just around the Motel at anytime is a luxury. Rooms are small but it compensates well with the comparison... More

The only good thing about this hotel is location. The carpets is extremely dirty and torn, the bed linen is smelly. we found hair in our bed and the WC wasn't better that the public ones. They don't know the concept of cleanliness. This place is a dump - even for a budget traveler, give it a skip. Horrible.

Small room and the toilet is cramped. Free internet and the restaurant isnt bad. No bar/lounge that I could see but only 2 subway stops from Hangdong rd with loads of restaurants and entertainment. I have stayed here many times and consider the price very fair for Shanghai which is an expensive city..

The room smelled of mildew and was worn and dirty. The maids started work about 7am and were constantly shouting to each other and making a lot of noise in the hallways. I checked in as a VIP customer which is allowed to check out as late as 2pm. When I tried to check out at 1pm, the employees at... More

Stayed here back in 2006 for a few days while relocating to Shanghai. It is a cheap and reliable hotel and part of a chain of Chinese hotels. Right off the Yan An highway. Lots of restaurants, stores nearby. Don't look for anything special here. If you need a place to crash that is clean and cheap though, this is... More
