Stayed 8 nights on a business trip in june. Impeccably clean (if a bit small) rooms, excellent selection for breakfast, helpful friendly staff. A bit of a walk to the shopping areas, although there is a big department store next door. Probably a 20 minute walk to the shopping street. Subway is located immediately around the corner. Recommend highly and... More

Pretty rooms, good and fast service and an excellent location. Breakfast was great as well. Looking forward to my next stay!

We have just returned from China and during our trip stayed in Shanghai twice. The first stay was for one night and the second for three nights. We stayed in Les Suites Oriental the first night. This is a nice hotel and deserves the recognition it gets on Trip Advisor but surely not no.1 (except for location), not when you... More

Well my company has changed side in Shanghai - going from Pudong to Puxi - until last year we stayed at the Shangri-La Pudong , since this year we stay at the Swissotel Grand. Well right at the beginning - the Swissotel is no match for the Shangri La - but we also only pay half the price of the... More

So I'll put it out there in the first line. I'd return to this hotel no questions asked. Location is great and the vibe is good. It's difficult to stand alone when you are next to 'the Puli' which is STUNNING. Gripes. Open bottle of water in the bathroom upon arrival. Restaurant too crowded On departure I found I was... More

Stayed here as a family of 5, which conceptually seems to be a challenge for hotels in China - not here: two very well designed rooms King / 2 doubles with extra bed connected by otherwise nicely hidden doors. Very quiet AC, great functionality of rooms and beautiful bathrooms (the desk could use a few more outlets). The Spa and... More

Shanghai Swissotel is a very nice hotel not far from the city center. The rooms are very nice and clean. The food at the Hotel (breakfast and dinner in chinese restaurant) was excellent. The Hotelstaff is very friendly and tries, dispite of their little knowledge of English, to help you whenever they can. The hotel provides Businesscards which you can... More

This was our hotel for about one week and by the end, it almost felt like home. We stayed in May in a triple room and it was good fun and the staff made us feel at home. Special thanks to the ladies at the front desk who were super helpful and friendly throughout our entire stay. The hotel is... More

The hotel was great, great location, all modern and "Working". The staff was very helpfull and all knew English. The breakfast spread was unbelievable and all tasty. Hotel is kept clean and well maintained. I booked through Expedia and got a deal that even the Chinese colleagues could not believe. The room had a Nesspresso Coffee machine whereas 3 capsules... Stayed at Swissotel Grand Shanghai for 5 nights at the executive club. What can I say, we were so impressed by this hotel, we definitely will be coming back. Location is great, subway line #2 Jing An Temple is just around the corner. The executive room was spacious, bed comfortable, loved the in-room Nespresso machine and bathroom lighting and decor....
