We stayed at the island for 4.5 days last week. Monday to Friday. Upon arriving at the Resort its hard to be disappointed if you’re searching for the ultimate, low key, adults only, Fiji island experience away from package tourist hordes and screaming children. Leave your city living expectations and pretensions behind and enjoy a wonderful friendly environment where the... More

Firstly our Beachfront Bure was gorgeous, I nearly died when we arrived!! The room was out of this world as was the plunge pool and the view..which was stunning! It was very clean also, thanks to Mary!! A few things that need improving are the deck and deck chairs around the main pool..they looked very old and beat up and... More

Bula Tracy, Vinaka for your feedback, we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your holiday with us on Matamanoa Island. We have new beach lounges on order, unfortunately there was a delay in receiving our order, but we will have them very soon. Hopefully you can return and check them out for yourself. More

We (the wife and I) spent a week here a couple of years ago and we absolutely loved it. It is a perfect spot to chill out. The rooms had everything you need, the best of which was no TV. The beach is on your door step and there is hardly anyone around to disturb you. Being a single resort... More

My wife and I had a fantastic week at Matamanoa. Staff: all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Accommodation: the Bure's have recently been refurbished and upgraded; they were lovely. Own day bed, deck chairs and plunge pool. The units themselves were very well appointed. Very glad we upgraded from the basic hotel room. Activities: water based activities were a highlight... More

Spent a five nights on the island, initial thoughts were great, but once you spend a few minutes on the island you realise the lacking features. Food is unappealing and lacking on choices. The portions are small and I wouldn't consider myself a big eater (I weigh 50kgs). The deck and the deck chairs need to be upgraded. They are... More

We stayed as the second stop on our honeymoon and loved every second of our stay. The staff are amazing. So friendly, helpful and welcoming that by the time you leave you will think of them as lifelong friends. The activities are excellent, well run and very enjoyable. The dive instructors are great (we had never even considered scuba before,... More

We just returned from a 5 night stay for our honeymoon. It was a great stay, one that I'd recommend, although there could be some minor improvements. Positives: overwhelmingly, the staff are the highlight. They ask your name, remember it and use it every time they see you. And it doesn't feel like it's forced, it's genuine. Each night they... Everything was exceptional during our stay. The staff made us feel like family and remembered our names by the first day. We were not disappointed with the food. It was really good. The villa was immaculate and the view magnificent. Some of the best snorkeling we have seen (and we have been to lots of places to snorkel). Not over... More
