Stunning from the moment we arrived. The island is surrounded by reef with gorgeous corals, hundreds of fish varieties, turtles and reef sharks - makes you long to get out there every day. The resort is well laid out with gorgeous rooms, restaurant and pool deck etc. The villa rooms are beautiful, with private plunge pool and day bed and... More

The resort met most of our expectations. We stayed for 7 nights and had the most wonderfully relaxing time. We stayed in a beach front Bure which had recently been refurbished, beautiful. The resort is well kept, clean and tidy, the team are fantastic. Regrettably the restaurant did not live up to the rest of the resort. Service was slow... More

Stayed 6 fantastic days on this wonderful island. We celebrated 35-year anniversary and had asked for a nice bure and we got what we thought it's finest. We stayed in bure 19 and it was really nice. It was on the sunset side and had a very nice patio with furniture, a daybed and a plunge pool. The lovely beach... More

Check out the photos and what you see is what you get, amazing! Friendly, quiet, picturesque, indulgent and FUN! The only two things I felt could be improved were the continental breakfast needed more variety ie yoghurt, juice variations and the "day room " available for use after room check out was in very poor condition ie broken shower, only... If you are expecting a luxury resort this is not the place to come. Really bad service and food, the breakfast included in the room is very poor and need to pay 22$ per person to get bacon and eggs. The hotel seems to be under construction forever. You can find trash on the beach(even some crystals of broken bottles)... More

What a beautiful little island. The staff make this hotel. They are so friendly and make you feel they really appreciate you staying with them. The beach side Bures were stunning although they did lack hanging space and a chest of drawers for clothes. The food was good and suited us - not 5 star cuisine. The evening entertainment was... Bula awaiting our delivery for new sun beds, they are made of special wood, so hopefully not to long to wait. Have alerted Activities for new table tennis and tennis racquets, appreciate your input. Vinaka for your post, we hope to welcome you again on Matamanoa Island. More

I could only fault that they do not clean beach - lots of broken glass and building materials along beach And they do not remove coconuts so be careful of falling coconuts. Other than that there's no tv so as long as u enjoy each other's company u won't get bored

Wow, wow, wow! What an island. Spent 5 nights of our honeymoon on Matamanoa and loved every second (even the bad weather). The staff really make the place, they do a fantastic job, with the singing each night a huge highlight. The food choices change every day and I found enough variance although my wife struggled with the breakfast buffet... More

Very friendly staff, they always greeted you with a welcome (Bula) and a smile, great food and drinks (especially the Ika Kokoda), the free afternoon tea was a nice touch, an incredibly relaxing place to be with your partner, and stunning scenery. Do the daily snorkelling trip well worth the little amount this costs.

We booked Villa 4. The view out to the uninterrupted ocean was to die for; the room and bathroom were large and comfortable, although Villa 15 on the other side has more privacy. Patrick and his team attended to our food allergies attentively. Even gluten free crepe suzette (not quite Hilton Moorea standard, but still lovely). The snorkelling was great.... More

Bula David, sorry to hear about your massage, we usually get very good feedback about our Spa, however I will pass on your comment to the Owner (spa is franchise) and she will definitely investigate for you. Happy to hear our staff looked after you, they do love it when they can go out of their way to pamper our... More
