Lovely stay- friendly welcoming staff. Everything is much more expensive on the island so get snacks and water before hand! A bottle of water (1.5litres) will cost you $5 Fijian dollars. Food around $20-30 average. Rooms were spacious and clean, bathroom ad toilets were ok. There is a fridge to store our cold stuff. Lots of entertainment in the day... More

We stayed for 10 nights. Paid for a room with air conditioning, took 3 nights to be moved to a room with air conditioning. The room we were in had a dead cockroach on the wall... Lovely. Finally moved to the new room which had air conditioning, decent enough room for the price we paid. Food was great, we were... More

We (family of four with two children being 12 and 13) stayed at the nearby Mana Island resort. We enjoyed most of our dinners at the backpackers. This was a great choice. The food was fresh, the view was excellent, the food arrived promptly and the staff were friendly - especially given the heat. They easily catered for our gluten... More

We ate here for a few meals as another option from the resort. Service was very inconsistent but the food was reasonable and better priced than Mana. Nice beachfront location and an easy walk from the resort. We noticed many people were choosing to eat here. Nothing fancy.

Did not have any place to stay for my first night in Fiji when I arrived. They were very helpful in storing luggage and getting me to and from the airport for a short period of time. The staff were also very kind and trustworthy.

Mana is best reached by air , contact pacific air for a 12m ride for 210us return, the rutu backpackers is a nice place , missing the opertunity to have real beach rooms, storage has the best location... And friendly stuff young atmosphire but bad blood with nearby resort has bad vibes, dorms ok,garden twin bed are as good as... More

I have been a regular visitor and have watched it evolve from a basic back packer operation to what it is now ..... a pleasant mixture of 4 star beachfront bures and clean dorms. If ever there is the perfect spot to eat seafood this must be it with a surprisingly good kitchen and menu. The activities make for entertaining... More

Mana island is beautiful and the welcome we got from staff was probably the best we received in Fiji. We stayed here for two nights. The overall feel of the hostel was quite basic but had a good atmosphere. We had a three-person room which had nice beds and air conditioning, but cold showers. There wasn't much to do on... More

Just spent 7 nights in a beachfront bure at ratu kini. Rooms are basic but clean and right on the waters edge. Food was exceptional as was the service. The main thing that really made it perfect for us was the people. That goes for all staff and locals that we came across on the whole island. You could not... More

The diving is amazing, the dive staff (especially Shirley) were so helpful, professional and happy to make sure everything went smoothly. The hostel staff became my extended family during my stay, as we ate, danced, sang and drank kava with them. They were always friendly and smiling and made us feel really at home. Snorkeling on other side of the... More
