We loved our week at The ORH! The location is very convenient and Deborah and Greg make each guest feel special! The rooms are nicely decorated and private. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows are heavenly. Every morning a delicious breakfast is prepared. We had something different everyday including French toast, eggs Benedict, banana walnut pancakes, and biscuits... More

This was our first b&b and we were not sure what to expect. We ended up loving our stay. Each room was cute in each of there unique themes. The pool was cool & relaxing. The hot tub was clean & hot. The beach was easy to access. The adult only atmosphere was nice when your trying to get away... More

One of the best kept secrets on the Alabama Gulf Coast. I stayed in the Captain's Quarters which is a small room just big enough for one. It was just enough for me. The breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning were outstanding! You had a great view of the beach from the deck on the second floor. The pool was... More

Romar House is an interesting old house with easy access to the beach. The house is old (supposed to be the oldest in the area) with a quirky floor plan. There is a high rise condo on one side and two houses between Romar House and the beach so there is a narrow beach view from the back deck. It's... More

We just returned from 2 nights @ the Romar House. The place is lovely. Greg and Deborah ( the hosts) are wonderful. The breakfasts were the most delicious ones we have ever had @ a B&B. We had wine and cheese both nights with all the other guests. It was a delightful visit and we will return.

My wife and I love Bed and Breakfasts. Sometimes it is real hit and miss. The Romar house is a big time hit. The hosts are great, friendly folks. The house is a real treasure, being right on the beach. It has fantastic views from the back deck. Yes, you have views from the rooms, but not like that deck.... More

It was a nice stay with excellent service. The house keepers were very pleasant, caring, and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The salt pool was spectacular and lazy days at the beach were nice and relaxing.

If you're looking for quaint, cosy, convenient, slightly quirky and absolutely delightful, then this is the place to stay. My sister & I needed a short getaway and ORH was just what we needed. We were in the Romar suite which is very roomy and absolutely lovely. The breakfasts were amazing - something different each day (granted we were only... More

This b & b really deserves all the praise it gets. Deborah and Greg were extremely helpful to us Brits, the breakfast was excellent and the evening get together enabled us to get to know other guests. To have a small, cosy b & b so close to the beach works very well and we had a delightful time

I was surprised how built up Orange Beach is. I would have loved to see it a decade or two ago. That said, the Romar House is a delightful B&B with easy beach access and good breakfast. The common areas are so welcoming that we just stayed in on the one stormy day. Some days we stayed for the convivial... More
