I picked this location as a halfway stop over returning to Texas from Florida. What a pleasant surprise downtown Montgomery was! It was among the most beautifully maintained and lively downtowns I have ever visited. This Hampton Inn was located in the heart of it all- it is right next to "The Alley" which is a landscaped walk between buildings... More

Second time staying at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and staff always very friendly. Hank Williams Sr. museum is right next door and grave sight is just down the road. There is no pool at this hotel and parking is limited.

We had no expectations, booking on line during a thunder storm and never having been to Montgomery before. The hotel was much better than I anticipated, comfortable, clean and good sized rooms, very pleasant and helpful staff and good quality toiletries. Being in the historic downtown area near The Alley, Hank Williams museum and Riverfront, meant there were heaps of... More

In my room on the tenth floor, my neighbor's toilet might as well have been sitting inside of my bedroom. I stay in a lot of hotels, some cheap, some nice, but I haven't experienced this before. For the last hour I've been working in what smells like a festival latrine. This isn't acceptable. It isn't okay. I will not... More

We stayed here June 18th-21st. The staff and housekeeping were excellent. Breakfast had a limited selection, but delicious. The room was spacious, with a firm mattress and nice amenities. I can't say enough about housekeeping, though. The room was kept very clean at all times. Very quiet. Our room, 406, had an awesome view of a building that lit up... More

Whenever I have business in Montgomery, I always stay at the Hampton Downtown. It is close to everything, but far enough out that you don't have lots of congestion. The hotel staff is welcoming and the facilities are top notch.

Excellent accommodations. Very close within easy walking distance to downtown Montgomery and to the Montgomery Bisquits AA baseball stadium. Clean spacious rooms. very good complimentary breakfast. The staff was exceptional.

If you need to be in downtown Montgomery, near the state capitol building and other Alabama state buildings, this hotel is in a perfect location. If you're planning to visit such sites as the Civil Rights Memorial and Center, Hank Williams Museum, Hank Williams grave, the First White House of the Confederacy, the museum at the Alabama Department of Archives... Great hotel and awesome location. The lack of self parking was a pain. The complimentary breakfast is awesome with a great variety of hot meal. The fruits were very fresh. The location provides different types of food for all tastes: southern, Italian, Mexican, and Japanese.

2 nights, 2 rooms, both had problems. One only had scalding water on tap. Other had a short that caused the lights to randomly turn on in the bathroom all night. Vomit all over the hallway sat for hours without being cleaned with only the "caution" marker. Staff was generally incompetent. Old building has no noise insulation. 10 parking spaces... More

Mr. Andrew C. I appreciate the review of your recent stay at our hotel. I'm sorry that you received a poor level of service; this is not the Hampton norm as our goal is Satisfaction Guaranteed. As well, we apologize for the housekeeping problems you experienced. Unclean rooms are not typical at our hotel and we appreciate you bringing this... More
