We stopped here on our way back from New Orleans. The hotel is located downtown next to Union Station on the Alabama River. Its set up like all embassy suites. Our room was clean. Yes, the decor/furniture is beginning to look a little dated (like all embassy suites). The fact that the rooms are so large, makes it not such... more

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for two nights. It was a beautiful hotel and very clean. We had brought our dog, a Shih Tzu, along on the trip and were worried she would pick up fleas from the carpet. That has happened before at other hotels that were pet friendly. It didn't happen. The carpet was clean... more

A great place! Stayed here on a girl's weekend trip for a concert at the amphitheatre (right across the street) !! Very clean and confortable room, great breakfast buffet, very friendly front desk staff who were also very accomodating. Only complaint we would have is the bartender was not friendly at all and seemed as if she had a "gun... more

I travel on business about 30 nights a year and with family on another 10 nights a year. This is the saddest hotel I've come across in the last couple of years. It is worn. The carpets in the rooms and hallways should have been replaced a year or two ago. The TV's reception is ok (at best). The hotel... more

I have stayed several times at the Embassy Suites in Montgomery, AL and after each stay I promised myself that I would never do it again. After this week's stay (01.06 thru 01.08) I will certainly live up to my promise. I typically try to stay at a Hilton Hotel and specifically an Embassy Suites if one is near my... more

Well, I didn't go there initially to escape Gustav like everyone else did, but I did stay there 1 night on my return back to New Orleans and they were great! Although they had been packed and crammed with folks evacuating from New Orleans up until the day I arrived, they were still pleasant, calm and clean. The breakfast buffet... more

Montgomery's downtown has come a long way in the last 10 years. It is now close to hip. The new waterfront park, baseball stadium, a couple of nice hotels, convention center, local restaurants and bars all combine for a nice downtown. A long way from the ghost town that this area was in the 80's and 90's. The Embassy Suites... more

I spent 1 night here before flying out of the airport the next day. One of the attractions was the free shuttle but it didn't start running until 5 a.m. so I had to pay $20 for a taxi as I was leaving before that. Having said that the hotel was nice & the central atrium area was bright &... more

The Embassy Suites Montgomery is a classic aging atrium style hotel It is next to the old Union Station in the middle of downtown , with a large car park on one side making it quite light and reducing downtown noise. As usual with Embassy Suites the accommodation is excellent for two people, with a separate bedroom, small bathroom, and... more
