With no previous preparation we needed a place to stay in Mobile. I chose this hotel for the rate and because it had a reasonable rating from other travelers. We were delighted by the rooms and other amenities that the Ashbury had to offer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby and pool area were much more than... More

The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms are as well. There is an older part where you access the rooms from the outside and the newer part where you access rooms on the inside. Beds are very comfortable and very clean for hotel beds. Air conditioner works well, bathrooms are clean, and the rooms have a mini fridge,... More

I would like to preface this review by saying I do not have unrealistic expectations as a traveler. I know that this hotel is older, and has probably seen much happier times, say twenty years ago. Older is not bad, this place could be charming...but it isn't. The atrium lobby that is featured so prominently in all of the pictures,... More

My family had a night banquet at this facility in the Dogwood Ballroom. The room was set up like a wedding (with a long head table) at the front of the room (and circular tables facing the table) which was just odd. One of my cousins sat at a chair and the whole back was broken. The room was noticeably... More

First, the parking lot is in severe disrepair. Second, the outdoor pool and hot tub are closed as in covered over and chained with rusted chains. Haven't been open in years. Sink and tub drain plugs were broken. Sheets and towels were clean. Saw roaches scurrying in the bathroom when I turned on the light in a predawn visit. When... More

Driving into the very quite outdated car park didn't give a good first impression, weird and sketchy people hung out there. The staff were very friendly however the hotel itself was really outdated, poor facilities, and free breakfast consisted of bread, a toaster and cold coffee.Wifi was really week

I start all my reviews by saying I have no choice where I stay; my company makes the choice for me. It didn't seem too bad a place, good access to the interstate, plenty of restaurants to eat at. The room appeared to be clean, the bed was comfortable. The room had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Folks at... More

This has got to be the nastiest place I have ever stayed in!! First of all, there was a little black bug under my pillow. The tile in the corners in the bathroom floor had dirt and does not appear to have been cleaned in a while. There were dirt smudges on the doors and walls. I can only assume... More

I hosted a birthday party at the Ashury Hotel on Feb 15, 2014, and had a stellar experience. From the time I inquired about booking the event Mrs. Bordenave went above and beyond to assist with my vision. Although, the event was somewhat last minute and on a minimal budget she worked within the constraints of both timing and funding.... More

Stay away. Do not be deceived by the look of the pictures of the atrium. This has got to be the dirtiest, nastiest hotel room I have ever had in my life. Literally dirt on the back of the door, the walls, air conditioner, bathroom had mold growing in it, the carpet was like little brown dreadlocks. Absolutely atrocious. I... More
