I've seen a fee bad reviews but thing was rather different during my stay. Stayed a night from 23th to 24th July 2015. Being weekday, hotel wasn't too crowded. Somehow I felt only 2 rooms are occupied. Had a room facing the river. Fantastic view. Room is not too fanciful but decent and clean. Only downside is unstable wifi. Conveniently... More

Quayside's location is great and within walking distance to most things you would want to see in Melaka. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The view on the river is great although with the strong sun, we didn't actually spend much time on the balcony to enjoy the view. The issue of poor... More

We stayed here last year November'14 and guess what it has best location to jonker street and other great food eateries places. Almost all the attraction is nearby. We were welcomed by friendly staff and the bellman/security guided us all the way to the parking area and the best he even carried our luggages back to the hotel without asking... More

Pros: (1) Location: Very convenient. A short walk to the overrated (and crowded) Jonker Street, Dataran Pahlawan, Stadhuys, St.Paul's Church and Malacca River. (2) Staff: Courteous and friendly staff (but there are rooms for more attentiveness) Cons: (1) Noise: Avoid a room facing the city, the place is converted from a warehouse, the walls are not sound-proofed, you can hear... I think the location was good, the hotel was suitable for youngster. overall I was going to give 3-4 star. but, when we take bath, the water over-float into our room. after a night, the bathroom stink! we cant even use the bathroom. had to use our friend's bathroom. we parked in front of the hotel not knowing there's need... Room is very comfortable with view of the river. Excellent location to move around within walking distance all the interesting historical sites and museums. It's at the city centre where you get to see night markets and good restaurants with lovely ambience and music.

1. Staff I thought they were working for government. Very unhelpful, nonchalant and as someone already pointed out more interested in charging us for the minibar than our comfort. Poor english too had trouble communicating. Definately did NOT expect this with the price I paid 2. No elevator!!! No elevator to 2nd floor and no one tries to help with... More

It's located within walking distance to the historical buildings - The Red buildings, Jonker Street, A'famosa (3 mins walk) and also next to the boat ride jetty. The Hard Rock Cafe is just stone throw away from this lovely cocoon. The room is clean and acceptable size. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is actually an old building converted... More

Hotel right on the river has been done in an industrial style. Saying that, the staff were very helpful and polite and is ideally situated by the night market hence the noise from traffic and loud music systems from the rickshaws. I agree with other reviews that it is a little overpriced but fine for a long weekend break.
