We booked this place for 1-night stay and was given Rebana Suite. We arrived quite late at night, but the security was very attentive to us. Check-in was fast. Our room was very huge, clean and comfy. We had our breakfast by the pool next to a well-maintained garden. The mansion has six rooms, thus we hardly see other people... More

As others have said this is a fabulous hotel & we were treated like royalty by Mr Zai. Breakfast by the pool or in the Nyonya room and after saying how much I liked mangoes Mr Zai made sure I had plenty! We were the only guests and when we arrived the hotel was closed. A little disconcerting but all... More

Nice place where you can afford the privacy and stress from the hustle and bustle of city life. The staff are very nice and the concierge Mr Kamal, is very attentive to our needs. The hotel provides you with a laid back feeling of the colonial days and yet filled with modern amenities nearby. A drive out will give you... More

Beatiful colonial mansion that used to belong to the governor of Malacca. A small hotel with only six rooms. we had the Nafiri suite which is a very large almost palacial room, with a massive bathroom with 2 person jacuzzi and a separate lounge attached to the main room. Kamal, the manager looks after your every need and is very... More

What could we say more.. You would get a Royalty feel staying here.. Very cosy and serene.. Mr.Kamal the caretaker is the person who is always there in need. Centrally located and easy access to all places in Malacca.

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend trip to Malacca during Chinese New Year and he had booked The Kahaani for a 2 night stay. As the former manor of the Ex-Governor of Malacca, they transformed the place into a hotel beautifully. With only 5 rooms, The Kahaani is the perfect place for couples and families to enjoy peace and... More

Quick trip to malacca this time for weekend getaway... The family didn't feel like any hustle and bustle of touristy malacca hence decided to sign up for the Kahaani experience. We had one of the suite on the upper floor, spacious, and they kept the room cooled for us, and by the time we arrive it was a fantastic refuge... More

The Kahaani is the former residents of the Governor and was turned into a 6 rooms luxe hotel in 2013. During the time we were there for three night (8-11 february 2015) we were there with just two other guests. It felt like we had this mansion just for our selfs. The Nafiri suite was our room during our stay.... More

This is not your standard hotel. In fact for us it wasn't even like a hotel at all. We found that we were the only guests during our stay from Tuesday to Thursday, and it was almost like being welcome guests in a mansion otherwise deserted except for the staff. When we arrived at the middle of the day we... More
