In a historical city full of high-rise hotels and malls (and more being built), The Neem is a cozy, friendly oasis with wonderful hosts. The accommodation is not extremely luxurious but the location (halfway between the main museums & Jonker Street, and the Portuguese settlement - about a 15-min walk to either) is good, the breakfast is authentic and delicious,... Previously i brought my students to stay here as it is quite near to Dataran Pahlawan and museums. We stayed at Ketapang room; which is big to accommodate 4 of us. This boutique resort makes us feel relax and pleasant after a tiring day. A homey feeling. Oh yeah! The bathroom! Really really special! Kind of shower-in-the-jungle feeling. The students... More

The hosts are super friendly here. They made us a tasty local breakfast and also went to the trouble of getting fresh fruit and so on. We are both vego and didn't have any problems with the food at all. We had nice chats over breakfast and learned more about Chinese culture / Feng Shui. If you are in the... More

My family stayed at The Neem for 2 nights in June. We stayed in Ketapang, a large room with one king sized bed and one king sized mattress on the floor. Paid RM250 for the room through LivingSocial deals. We also paid RM50 for an extra single mattress. It was able to accommodate my family of 7. The room is... More

The staff here are amazing - so kind and helpful and full of great information about the site/buildings and the surrounding area. It was interesting just to sit and chat over our amazing local breakfast. The rooms are large and very nice and all within easy walking distance to the attractions. I would highly recommend that people stay here and... More

I stayed here recently with my bf and we got the Kemboja room. Plus points: - homey feel - friendly staff - walking distance from the main city area; it took us about 10 min to reach Jonker Walk. The malls are nearer. - lovely "open-air" bathing space Areas to improve on: - I missed the entrance as the sign... More

Dear Rowan, Thank you for your kind comments and sincere feedback. 1) We do actually treat all our chalets with lemon grass organic mosquito repellant and on top of that the whole chalet is fully netted. 2) We shall be looking into your suggestion about breakfast seriously. 3) The chalets were actually previous homes hence their large sizes which to... We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The room which is actually a chalet, is very spacious. We had the biggest chalet and it could accommodate 2 king-sized beds and 2 single beds with plenty of room to move about. It was very hot in Malacca when we were there and even though there were 2 air-conditioners and 2 fans... More

Thank you for your feedback and sincere comments. 1) As for the pool what you probably saw were mango buds that had dropped into the pool. We had the option to cut the tree so as to avoid this problem but we decided against it as many a traveller to Bali would attest to the naturalness of their pools with... More

Dear Nurliesa, Thank your you for kind comments and feedback. 1) As mentioned to a previous guest, what may seem like dirt is actually mango flowers and the pool is salty as we use salt instead of chlorine as this is a natural pool. 2) We have put up a huge banner based on your comments. Thanks 3) We will... More

Relaxing place to stay, away from the busy streets but still quite accessible to tourist spot like Jonker Street and Dataran Pahlawan shopping complex. The room was quite spacious even though I stay in the smallest room, their shower/toilet was special too with see through roofs on top so that the light will go thru it during the day saving...
