Some reviewers on here said the rooms were old-ish with old television sets and no cable TV channels etc.. I was quite sure the room I stayed in last January had a brand new flat screen TV with cable. Therefore I assume some rooms were good, some were old, so my suggestion is to ask to view the rooms first.... More

It's actually a museum and it's a great experience to live in here. Very traditional kind of Baba-Nyonya culture, starting from the building, the staff, the room to the furniture inside the room. it's old, yes, but very comfortable if you're not insisting to get a LED TV or things like that. They have a lady providing SPA service for... More

You do want to spend longer in the room then necessary. The rooms are clean and reasonable in size. The bathroom is fine and the clean. The location is amazing, smack in the middle of the historic town, close to restaurants, bars, the market and museums. I would certainly recommend this hotel for a quick trip but do not expect... Was abit shocked to see the room as I paid for heritage deluxe which supposedly was one of the better rooms, its small n old and the wifi in the room is almost non existing. Amenities is bare minimum n towels given were not clean. I think for a 2 night stay its still bearable as its location is really... More

The location of the baba house is great as its not far from jonker street and its on a road of lovely peranakan buildings. The interiors at the baba house are amazing and it was nice to stay somewhere so full of character. My room was a heritage room. I loved the sink and some of the old features. There... More

Stayed in the baba house during national day, and I personally feel this is the place for you if you need a place just to sleep. For your reference 1. Situated at Jonker street itself. Just walking distance to many of the main attractive areas ( Shops, bars, malls etc) 2. The hotels with classic design which makes you get... More

We stayed at this hotel about 15 years ago. At that time it was small and charming. Stayed recently in July 2014 and it seems like the rooms have not been upgraded or updated for the past 15 years. It feels like a very old and tired hotel. The biggest complaint is the air conditioning which took about one hour... More

One of the first boutique hotels in Melaka, you are greeted by a helpful receptionist amidst a Peranakan-themed lobby. The ground floor is grand, intricately decorated and a sight to behold. Much attention is put in the decor, down to the last detail. Many tourists would just come in just for a few snaps. The location is superb, with many... More
