A beautiful hotel right in the middle of Melaka city. The hotel is kept in exquisite condition. Do take a visit to the history room. Amazing service staff. Don't miss meeting Ms. Jo. She ensures that you have the best history lesson of Melaka. We had an amazing photo session by Ms Jo. A few caveats to note. The wifi... More

Old-world boutique hotel in 3 buildings with charming staff, spacious, clean and very comfortable rooms, and a leisurely, very-good-indeed, all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast that you can have out in the tropical garden and read your free newspaper. Formerly a private house with courtyard and stable block, it's still owned by the original family. We vowed last year to stay here next... More

hotel itself has a lot of charm, providing a historic room within the hotel which provides the history of melaka which is great and good to know! (especially before taking the river cruise) the hotel has beautiful gardens and water features throughout. breakfast was good. the rooms were comfortable, would recommend asking for a room over looking the gardens or... i returned to this little gem during my 3rd visit to melacca. Stay at the heliconia suite. Beautiful! Worth every cent paid. Staff is extremely helpful especially Zul and General Manager Casey. 3 min walk to jonker street. Peaceful at night with little or no disturbance. Near hard rock cafe and church. Breakfast however is mediocre so please don't expect... More

Such a charming hotel full of character so you feel like you have stepped back in time. We spent an enjoyable three nights in Melaka at this wonderful hotel as a group of seven girlfriends and had a great time. The Heliconia suite is amazing and daily breakfast in the courtyard was lovely. All staff were so friendly and helpful... More

We stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to Malacca. The hotel is conveniently located in central Malacca in the Chinese District just one street away from Jonker street. The rooms are rather small but clean. The bed was ok, but the pillows were terrible (way to hard and thick) and we were not able to sleep on them.... More

We didn't actually stay at the hotel as we were staying at a friend's place. Then, our host took us to this hotel to see a hotel converted from a traditional Baba's house. We immediately fell in love with the architecture and style of the building, the tradtional decoration, the well-maintained ground and the atmosphere around the hotel. But then... More

The facade, entrance and common areas of this hotel are restored and offer an enchanting insight into wealthy Peranakan life of yesteryear. Lots of lovely flowers, plants and antiques scattered about. The service was friendly and efficient on checkin. Note the hotel has no lift which may cause an issue for some. I had a room at the very back... More

Charming renovation of an old Chinese shop house and home. Historic rooms at the front, more like a dormitory at the back. Clean and comfortable. Standard buffet breakfast in a charming garden. Close to Jonkers walk, the river, and historic area. Parking lot a few metres down the block. Friendly, helpful staff. If you like charming, this is the place.
