Lovely boutique hotel with a museum room. We couldn't believe our eyes when we checked it. I love the gardens where you are surrounded by plants and there is a fountain, so beautiful. Disappointed we didn't get any help to carry the suitcase in the stairs as there as no lift. Friendly staff but could speak English a little bit... More

Driving to Malacca on 28 Dec 2014 (4 persons). Location of the hotel is easy to find with GPS. Jalan Tan Cheng Lock is a one-way traffic. Despite of the narrow road and heavy traffic, the flow was quite smooth. There was no problem for the parking facilities provided and secured by the hotel. The main lobby was renovated and... More

This is our second visit. Rather sad to see the swallow's nests chiseled off the ceiling in the inner courtyard.. that was part of the charm when we first came. They are doing renovations in the place where we used to have breakfast the last time, and we were assigned to a ground floor room along a dingy corridor. The... More

We stay for two nites and find this hotel very charming. It has lots of history of Malacca with interesting decorations of antiques. The breakfast is good at in open air garden. Staff is so so and room is ok though the twin ones are really small. The location is good as it is very near to Jonker walk but... More

It's obvious from the diverse reviews that the Hotel Puri experience can be a bit hit-n-miss. In our case, it was mostly positive. The location is great for many of the tourist attractions, and not too far from some shopping malls if the heat is too much for you. We had a superior twin facing the courtyard (essential, in our... My wife and I decided to visit Jonker Street for the weekend. This is our 2nd time staying here. It was as good as when we stayed the 1st time. We just called up the hotel while we driving on the way and fortunately there were still rooms available. We took a Standard Room. We noticed that the hotel improved... More

Pros: - excellent location - beautiful building and courtyard - tranquil atmosphere - spa - value - parking Cons: - 2-3 star dated rooms and bathrooms - mediocre breakfast - problems with checking in On the whole: Go there to the spa or for coffee in their charming courtyard. If you want a gorgeous room, you might want to book... More

We stayed in a junior suite for a night. The hotel itself is just 5 minutes walk from jonker street and the old quarter. The rooms are spacious and clean and give the feel of being in a melaka environment. The breakfast spread is limited. We had a very good experience with Benny at the egg station. Excellent service with... More

We didn't stay here, we just had dinner in the beautiful courtyard area with trees and an open sky. We had traditional Nonya chicken dishes; the food was excellent, the price was reasonable and the atmosphere wonderfully relaxing and impressive. I recommend it for families and couples, go for the courtyard area, you won't regret it!

Much has been said about the charm, historical and cultural experience in this hotel hence if you wanna experience Melaka, you need to stay here. However to set expectation right, you need to know this is not a 4 star or 5 star hotel. It's a 3.5star hotel (in terms of property) with a 5 star service! The rooms are... More
