Melaka is my historic hometown and my family's visits back always finds us staying at Hotel Equatorial. We choose this because it is conveniently located near restaurants and shopping, and for first time visitors, you will also find it close to historic sites. Everything is within walking distance and because taxis are fairly scarce in the city, you would want... More

Stayed in late nov for 2 nights. Holiday Inn was full, so we tried out this hotel. Room was spacious but very dated! Bedside lamps fell off in the night (scary!) and telephone cables wasn't in place! Informed the staffs and they were very friendly, and came promptly to fix the mess. Pool was okay, the gym is again dated.... More

Check in was smooth but check out was a long Q. Room was aging & small. Was given a deluxe room facing the city, so whole nite u can hear noises of cars, bus, lorries, honks & etc. No good nite sleep if u r expecting 1, Concierge was indeed very helpful. Breakfast was a mess. Crowded and food was... More

First time staying in this hotel, though facilities wise - holiday inn wins hands down! Due to heavy traffic reached hotel after dinner. Checked in and found room sufficiently spacious with twin beds facing sea and shopping centre. Nice bathtub and clean room. Shopping is just next to hotel, around 11pm, nearby open carpark has lots heavily mod audio cars... More

i stayed at the club level, booked 2 rooms for my kids and me.check in was expedient, helpful staff, good food.however dont really see the difference between the club room and normal premier room.except we have breakfast at our own level, plus high tea was included.since i was traveling with small kids, that was an advantage to avoid the crowd.overall it was a nice place.clean... We stayed in the Premier Room at Hotel Equatorial for two nights. The room was clean, well-maintained and fairly spacious even after adding an extra bed to our twin-sharing room. Another plus is the inviting day bed (for afternoon naps) which offers a good view of the sea and surrounding area. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows a... More

This is my first stay at Equitorial Melaka. We chose the Premier room because we're travelling with 3 kids aged 2 to 7. The room is spacious. My kids loved the foyer area which is built of glass window overlooking the Straits of Malacca. The daybed at the foyer is very comfy that my kids decided to sleep on it... More

I stayed in this hotel 2 weeks ago for the first time. The room is big enough such that even with an extra bed added, there is ample walking space left. Everything feels clean and new except for the bathtub. There is black mold surrounding the tiles. There are big black ants crawling on the window ledge and on our... More
