We booked 2 equatorial club rooms. We got rooms 1604 & 1605. Both rooms got king beds, rooms got big space with a standing shower room and a bathtub. Bed tables got dust. No connecting rooms available. We heard and saw two helicopters flying around hotel and very noisy.. Pre dinner cocktail not value for money. Breakfast ok. 1 minute... More

Made a booking by phone and check in was quick. I guess the hotel is just about showing it's age compared to newer hotels around the place. The room we had was on the same side as the air cond plant and opening the doors to the balcony resulted in noise levels that weren't comfortable. Having said that, the bed... More

Very surprised at the quality of service and state of this "old" hotel. One would get the impression that since this hotel has been around in Melaka for so long that it would look extremely run down and not well-maintained. But it was surprisingly well-maintained for its age. The staff were excellent especially Diana at the front desk and Azreen... More

Stayed here for a weekend getaway. Hotel was undergoing refurbishment that time with smell of new paint in the corridor. Was not given a newer room though. Next to the shopping malls which makes it convenient to drop off the shopping bags. Basement carpark seemed to be safe and secure. From here, we managed to drive to the nearby restaurants,... More

The hotel location is ideal for those who wish to have a short stay and would like to visit only the popular tourist spots nearby. Next to the hotel is a large shopping mall with plenty of shops to look for anything and everything. The nearby Jonker Walk is just some 20 minutes' walk and the old Dutch building can... More

only stayed one night but found the Equatorial very pleasant. View from balcony good. Very convenient for exploring the old town and for huge shopping mall just across the road.

Good location - just a few minutes' walk to the historic city centre. Room was pleasant enough, with views of the city. But not without problems. Corridors had a funky smell. Toilet had an issue with flushing, but the service staff showed up very quickly. Breakfast buffet was quite excellent. This being a big hotel, the restaurant was expectedly crowded... More

Great location that is near to the shopping malls. No complaints for the room as it’s clean, and the front line desk are friendly. Only that the toilet flush isn’t working really well, you will need to flush a few times before the toilet paper gets flushed away.

We recently had the pleasure of 2 nights in Melaka, staying at the Hotel Equatorial. What a lovely hotel. Friendly staff, lovely rooms, fantastic pool and all so close to the sights of the city. Definitely recommend it.

My family stayed 3D/2N in the hotel. We booked the club room where no queue in main lobby but directly to 21st floor club lounge. I requested for connecting room and baby crib for one of the room via my online reservation. It was stated that they will arrange for us. Upon arrival, I then knew that club room has... More
