My husband and I stayed at The Stable for 2 nights in July and we really liked the place! The little shophouse was really quaint and the interior of the shophouse was very stylish. The only downside was that the room can get a little dusty from the untreated brick wall. As I have sensitive eyes, my eyes were a... More

it is a 2 storey shophouse in the heart of Malacca. a bathroom and a "kitchen" facilities one the 1st storey, the bedroom is upstair. it is located in a narrow street very close to Jonker street. it is a charming guesthouse. the inside is very cosy. you feel a bit like locals having your own keys of a shophouse.... Was pretty curious about the place at first and googled it up to get more info. The more I read about the place, the good review, magazine featured, the recommendation, the location, my urge to go and stay at least a night is a must. The interior is beautiful. I love the Malacca old map on the wall and the... More

We read about this place from the Internet and fell in love with the interior at once. The price could be more to the expensive side but we decided to splurge on it anyway since it's our first trip together. The place located just a few steps away from the exciting Jonker Street and Malacca River. Inside the place, it... More

This dinky little place for 2 is situated in the heart of old Malacca and is surprisingly quiet given its position. It's interior designer-owned and this is reflected in the eclectic decor. Lovely comfortable bed, fans, aircon and efficient shower. It's immaculately clean and housekeeper comes each day (at a time you choose). Coffee machine/tea/milk/bottled water/toiletries all provided. The fruit... More

I've been wanting to stay at this place since TIME magazine published an item on it back in 2011. Pleased to report that it lived up to our expectations & we endorse all of the positive comments that appear in reviews from others. The upstairs bedroom is spacious & delivers on the atmosphere & charm which are hallmarks of this... More

We're in Malacca for our 4th anniversary minus our daughter to explore the Jonker street and this guesthouse is right in the middle of it. Inside the place it is a cocoon where you are surrounded by rustic charm of Malacca at turn of century. The bare walls, ancient wooden beam, wooden doors and windows give it a strong personality,... We knew of this place from our friend who recommended it for our 1st wedding anniversary. Location The guesthouse is located at Jonker Street itself as it nestled out amongst the pre-war shophouses. If you are driving to Melaka, you can park at the open parking space across Casa Del Rio Hotel that charges daily. It's only 2-3 minutes walk to... More
