We stayed a couple of nights. The room was very basic with mattress on the floor, couple of chairs and small desk but enough for a short stay. For the money it is a great deal. The communal area is spacious and relaxing. Shower and toilet are shared but separate so easy on the queues. Toilet not great though as... More

We'd paused for a cigarette on arrival to Melaka's bus terminal, and the lovely George approached us about his hostel. Turns out he knows my boyfriend's friend too (Melaka is SMALL!) and is generally a bit of a local expert. He gave us a little map and showed us which bus to hop onto. When we arrived at the hostel,... More

Sure ! George (Travellers Planet hostel Manager ?) was waiting for customers at Melaka Sentral bus station. He came to us and we decided to have a try with him at Travellers Planet hostel. We made a good decision. George and Nash are managing this nice well-spotted hostel. They are friendly and give you all they can give you. We... More

Great hotel... Anna has made this into a home from home! We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom. Room size was good, you could choose between fan or air conditioning. Bathrooms were good, hot shower and clean. Common area had a huge TV with over 400 DVDs to chose between. I would highly recommend if you stay in... More

My friend a I stayed just for a night. It was very quiet. We've stayed in a double bedroom with bathroom separately. Good location in Malaka, close to the shopping center. A little market 2minutes to walk. Clean. Air conditioning. Nice staff, I think it was a family.

I paid RM25/night per person for double room with fan and shared bathroom. The room was clean and very basic. The staff was friendly. Living room was awesome. It looks like a japanese style with travelers from all over the world chilling out together. Nice experience I would say.

We had a very spacious double room. Room looks new and the living room is also very modern and clean. Shared bathroom was also clean. Location is great, 5 minutes from stadhuys and china town. If you want to relax, you can watch a movie from their big collection.

We went to Travellers Planet Hostel with 5 friends during a trip in Asia last August, rooms were really nice and we didn't pay so much (as students it was cool to spend approximately 10$/night). The thing we liked indeed was the very friendly staff and the living room upstairs where we could have some rest and speak with the... More

Situated in the heart of the tourist district, the Hostel is clean, well-ventilated, secure and generally well run by the manager - a lady named Ana. She can be a bit abrasive and standoffish at times which can sometimes result in confusing scenarios. Example: she doesn't inform her guests upon arrival that tea, coffee and breakfast are all free, and... More
