Firstly, the roof leaks in the second floor large dorm room dripping water on you in the night. We arrived during check in times having notified staff but upon arrival doors locked and no staff. Had to borrow passer by's phone to ring them and when the guy (Mike) arrived we didn't realise he was staff, just walked past us... More

The location of this hostel is slightly more far than the hostel complex such as River View, etc. But, not to be worry about this because it still easy to reach and the good thing is the parking is slightly more many than the hostel complex due to you can park at the parking lot at the end of the... We booked one night in Sayang Sayang Youth Hostel through Agoda. We contacted the hostel and requested arrangement for a pick-up service (to be paid). They were notified beforehand of our arrival details but when we arrived in Malacca, there was no pick-up service. We waited for like an hour but still there was no one coming. We had to... More

I'd rather say this place is a good place to stay, with a direct view to the river and a bike rental. I stayed in dormitory room and it was good enough but had less privacy since it is mixed dorm, but that was okay. It was clean enough and I can put my luggage on a locker beside my... More

Pros: Being able to be in one big room with your friends. Near to Jonker. Strong wifi in room. Cons: Customer service level: 1/10. Mosquitoes breeding place, literally have to touch your skin when they fly by because there's too much mosquitoes inside. Toilet/bathroom too small and dirty. Spider web at all corners. Can repaint the walls and ceiling, find... More

Our group of 7 friends stayed in a room that contained 8 beds. The room was clean & neat, the price of a room was very cheap, the location is so strategic (behind Joker Street) plus the receptionist was very friendly. The whole guest house was full of young people (mostly 20s) during our stay. But the main problem was... More

Nothing positive apart from the cheap price. The owner is like a weirdo and not friendly at all. My friend and I booked one night here and we stayed on the second floor and THE SMELL IS REALLY BAD. The big room with beds saperated by curtains and it's hot and humid due to weak air-con and one out-of-order fan.... More

(They are new staffs) Overall condition is clean, and the backyard is the good place for cool sea breeze at night and probably BBQ too :) Rooms and dormitories are available to choose from whichever to suit your budget. Nearby to the Jonker walk, walking distance... More

Made a reservation for this hostel. When I arrived after a long day of traveling, the sign on the door said that the hostel was open. But there was no receptionist. An other guest let me in and after waiting for 45 minutes we called the owner. He said he was eating and I had to wait for him to... More
