Travelling from Singapore, Old Town Guesthouse was a great place for us to relax and acclimatise to Malaysia. The rooms, the common areas and bathrooms were always clean, and we felt at home here quickly. Our double room had an A/C, which was great given the heat outside. Breakfast was okay, there was coffee, tea, toast and jam. The owner... More

We recently stayed at Old Town Guesthouse on our trip to Melaka and it was the best place lodging we had throughout our three weeks in Malaysia. Chao is an excellent host and made us feel right at home. From our initial check-in, he took the time to explain to us all there was to see and do in Melaka... More

Old Town Guest house made our trip to Melaka easy, safe, and comfortable. A few minutes walk away from the busy main drag, this guesthouse was excellent value. Helpful owner, who provided us heaps of local knowledge about attractions, food, and bus stops. The place has a very homely feel, with a lovely area to socialize with other travellers in... More

From the minute I inquired and made a booking, to our final goodbye, Chua provided exactly what was expected, not to mention with a great sense of curtesy & service. Keeping in mind that this is budget accommodation, one cannot be too critical, despite just a few minor details. The place was very clean, well thought out, with everything one... More

Stayed there mid march 2014 for two nights and absolutely loved the place :) Chua, the owner, was one of the kindest hosts I had in western Malaysia, and his guesthouse just reflects his hospitality. Starting with prompt replies to emails, filled with excellent information, he went over his head to make my stay as comfortable as possible, even letting... More
