We spent 2 nights in this place, but could have stayed for a week. The owners are extremely friendly and make you feel right at home. Its really an oasis of peace in Melaka! And dont forget to take a shower in one of the two showers in the back. Best shower ever!

It's different. The rooms are not the cheapest and the fans inside doesn't make much of a work to cool the room, but the atmosphere at Emely's is amazing! Super friendly staff whom showed us around the city, showed us to the best restaurants and breakfast places, and did also drive us to the bus station when we were about... More

Wanted to stay for a few days but ended up staying for a week.If you're looking for something different then this is the place,it's like staying with a family minus all the luxury of a 5 star hotel. The garden will make you calmed and relax, the host will make you feel like home will help you in anything you need to... The hosts and the welcoming athmosphere make up for what the place is missing. Earplugs cover the noise from the surrounding hotel's aircon squeeking. Lovely garden-like showers and the house garden is lovable too.

This place is amazing! We just loved it from the minute we walked in. The place has charm and the beautiful little details makes it feel like home. We wanted to stay 2 or 3 nights, at least we were there 10 nights. Great chilled atmosphere for travellers and a good communal area to meet people. The hostel owners are... More

My first ever bike ride to anywhere! I'm a local tourist, been to Melaka quite many times during childhood/teen years. This is my 1st trip to Melaka during adult life. Also my first backpackers lodging. Usually I stay at hotel since I'm the type to splurge when being a tourist, rooms must be comfy to me. Overall BEST TIME I... More

We stayed a couple of nights and loved this place - the communal outdoor area is lovely, with free tea and coffee, and Lee is always around for a friendly chat. The decor is unique - the furniture outside is all hand crafted out of recycled goods, like the bench made out of a door. Rooms are basic but functional,... More

I checked in here due to it sounding unique from the Lonely Planet review and I'm glad I did. I stayed for 3 nights in Melaka at Emily's and really enjoyed the stay. The room was simple but pretty: no AC but a decent ceiling fan so wasn't too warm at night at all. As other reviewer's have said, the... More

Emily`s guesthouse really was a great rest bite for both of us. Situated in the heart of the city Malik has transformed this house into a tranquill hide away from the hustle of Malaka. Most of the building and its contents have been crafted out of recycled and salvaged goods and Malik takes huge pride in crafting most of this.... More
