I've been now 4 times at Emily Home during a long term asia/australia trip. I can truly say I found a home away from home. I arrived as a guest, and left as a friend (and then came back a couple of times). The whole atmosphere of the place is just really relaxing and the owners are really nice.

Emily Travellers Home is a nice quiet place in Melaka. It's not about airconditioning and party. It is fairly basic, but still real pleasant place to stay. The owners make you feel at home when you walk in. They take time for you, even took me around Melaka for some local food. I would most certainly visit Emily Travellers Home... More

Being on the road for six months, sometimes you hope to encounter places like Emily´s. Emily´s is called guesthouse, but is more like a homestay. The owners Tina and Sofiane are so warm and welcoming and will make you feel directly at home. Don´t expect much luxury here, just a simple room with a bed and a fan, No A/C... More

Peace, love and positive energy are the first things that come to mind when thinking back to our time at Emily's. The hostel is situated close to the town centre. As it is the actual home of the owners, you have a truly authentic Malaysian homestay experience. We stayed here two times, at the start and at the end of... More

Emilys is a bit like a home stay. You really feel part of the family. Of course you can stay in your room and ignore everybody if you wish. Personally I like having a home to return to in the evening. You can be a bit more adventurous during the day. Emilys has no aircon, tv or hot water and... More

We spent 2 nights in this place, but could have stayed for a week. The owners are extremely friendly and make you feel right at home. Its really an oasis of peace in Melaka! And dont forget to take a shower in one of the two showers in the back. Best shower ever!
