Stayed here for the first time recently. Lobby areas were nice, front desk staff was not very pleasant especially the rude, older "boss" lady in the adjacent office. I think she may need to retire if she is going to be off-putting at check in. The young man and lady actually running the front desk seemed more concerned about chit-chat... More

The views were beautiful from the hotel room at the lodge, the brunch was amazing... we enjoyed the overall experience. My son especially liked swimming in the pool and lake. We will definitely go back!

These rooms are spacious and just like a hotel, provided shampoo and hair dryers, a refrigerator and coffee maker. The BEST part of the room was the balcony overlooking the lake - gorgeous view. We were on the 2nd floor which was perfect. We plan to come back here and stay longer. We hiked one trail across from the lodge... More

I recently stayed at the lodge at Guntersville State Park while I was attending a conference. Although I have lived in Alabama for decades, this was my first visit. What a beautiful place. The view of the lake from our room was spectacular. The conference facilities were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast at the... More

My husband and I decided to stop at the lodge for 2 nights on our way to Townsend, TN. We had intended to spend the next day exploring the park. Upon arrival we changed to one night due to predications of snow there and also in Townsend. Management was understanding and did not charge us any additional monies. The lodge... More

This is our 4th trip here and again, we were very pleased. We went for the Eagle awareness weeekend and the 2 night pkg was well worth it. On suggestion on the itinerary for that weekend. The guided tours to Cathederal Caverns last 75-90 minutes and the tours are at 10:00, 12:00, etc. So plan your time accordingly. There is... More

This is a beautiful place to ride to for a day out. The beach and the lodge pool is clean. The dining area is very nice and overlooking the river. I love to go there to just relax and enjoy for the day. The lodge is accommodating to almost any need. I love it.

We visited for 3 nights and 4 days this time. We enjoyed the 2014 New Year's celebration at the Lodge which included a great meal and live music. The accomadations were excellent and the buffet was great! We visited Buck's Pocked and the High Falls area. The water falls were beautiful. We were able to see many fawn's running in... More

I liked this place because we had such an amazing view. It was like being in the mountains overlooking a lake. I loved the stairways, it's really pretty, and different. Also the bathroom is extremely nice. However, the nearby cabins and chalets are cheaper depending on the time of year... if I had known we probably would have stayed there... More
