Lake Guntersville Lodge is a quiet peaceful for a couple to unwind and just look at the huge lake with boats. The room is not very new but clean. We enjoyed the restaurant and had a great view out the restaurant window. Located at the base of small mountain where the lodge is located is a quaint town with locally... More

Spent two nights at the lodge at Lake Guntersville state park. Our room was a little dateded but very clean. The view from our room was spectacu. We had our own patio area that allowed an elevated view of the lake on two sides. The staff were super friendly including the housekeeping staff. They made us feel at home. The... More

We spent a long weekend here in a chalet. It was spacious and comfortable with a wrap around porch and an awesome view of the lake and sunset. Chalet was somewhat outdated but hey, it's a state park. Lakeside beach was nice, hiking trails are maintained and well marked. Lodge has a good pool and above average dining. We enjoyed... More

Wow, wow, wow!!! My cousin planned his wedding at the Lodge and I wasn't expecting a lot! I couldn't have been more mistaken! What a gorgeous setting for the wedding, reception, and just a weekend away! Our room was in the lodge with a balcony overlooking beautiful Lake Guntersville. I can't believe I've lived in central Alabama all of my... More

We stayed in a suite overlooking Lake Guntersville. The room was clean. The view outstanding. I highly recommend this lovely jewel hidden in the state park system. There was a party in the room below us one night that were a little loud, but other than that, no real complaints about the room. The restaurant could use an update, but... More

We were impressed with our accommodations. We had a suite and it was spacious with a big balcony over looking the lake and mountains. We ate several meals in the restaurant and while I thought a little pricey they were tasty. We enjoyed a drive through the park and found friendly emues, donkeys and goats in the fenced in area... For a city traveler, did not have high expectations for this facility (here for a wedding) but was very pleasantly surprised with quality of public spaces as well as room. Had 300 level room facing lake with great view and balcony. Bathroom and fixtures were all updated and everything appeared clean. HVAC worked fairly well but might be challenged in... More

Please see photos. The view of the lake is amazing, but room dirty and disgusting, spider infested. Pubic hairs and unknown stains on lower and top blankets. Patio was filthy and covered in cobwebs. Called front desk three times, no answer over an hour. Simple lunch came to my mother wrong, she's allergic to mushrooms. No apologies or remedies. Front... More

Visiting family and decided to take a day to visit the state park. The lodge is beautiful and the staff are very helpful ,wanting to fill our every need. Our room was very large, well stocked, beds comfortable, lots of fluffy towels, all three are very important to us. We found the staff in the dinning room very kind and... More

Rare to have a state park lodge this nice! Absolutely beautifully spot, great view of the lake. Rooms are nice and clean. Food is even good! The buffet in the evening is surprisingly good. Trails to walk, beach, pool, they've got it all.
