This is our 1st time at Gulf State Park and we were so impressed from the moment that we arrived to the moment that we left. We stayed for 8 days in our pop up the temps were super high that week but the view of the lake was amazing the pool and bath houses were super clean and had... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in a tent. This was our first time camping near the beach and it exceeded our expectations. We arrived at 1:30 AM and the guy that checked us in was very nice and gave us plenty of info. The beach is approximately a one mile walk (from our campsite) but it was a very... More

This is a wonderful park with a great staff clean and well maintained . We areRv people 6 months out of the year best beaches fishing central to all activity in the area. You could stay at resorts in the area that are dumps for 10 times the money.

Been camping there since the park was on the BIG Lake(60s) .Has so many check in rules now that change with the volunteers working check in desk.It needs to be first come first served. When we were there there were lake side sites vacant for the whole week, reserved. For who? It's a camp ground not a five star motel.

Great place to go in the Fall of the year. It is not crowded and plenty of campsites. The pool is great. There is much to do, besides sit around in the sun, We will go back many more times. Just be aware the snowbirds start coming in the middle of October.

If you camp here you would do best in an rv of some sort as there are alligators. Lots to do all around you and the park offers a pool and zip lines as well as gulf access. Hiking is flat terrain and there are biking trails as well as biking along the gulf. No a lot of shade so... More

We have been here in our camper a couple of times. Rv spots are roomy, not squeezed together. Nice large pool, neat nature center, miles of trails. Just walk, or get on your bike and ride around for hours. The beach is real close, a lot of good places to eat. Park staff are friendly, and they do enforce quiet... More

Convenient to beach , shopping, outdoor vacation activities for kids of all ages. Lots of fun places. Campsites are good size so no cramping, great staff, museum and trails. Park store good for drinks, hats souvenirs that's about it. Great Pool area and very well attended Golf Course. Hope to go back.

Just got back from our camping & fishing trip. Weather was bad a couple of days, but we didn't Care, so much to do. Better book early no vacancy signs were posted upon our arrival. We Booked 3 months in advance. You have to drive to the beach, but it isn't far.
